NorthernUltramarines
Got my smashy lads done, genuinely think the new Terminators are some of the best posing they've ever done with marines, alongside the new intercessors. They look so knightly, and so menacing! New rules mean they actually feel like it too. And the last two! 5 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6191335 Share on other sites

Havoc
Started on my Orks today. These are push to fit mini's and I used some thick superglue to fill in some of the seams and then sanded them down. The colors I have painted thus far are hard to see in the photo compared to the base color. The shirts are corvus black and the pants Skavenblight dinge. I was a bit tired and before I knew it I painted the linkage on the one orks shells brown thinking it was leather. I'll have to change that since it appears it's actually linkage from looking at the weapon being held. I'm a bit of a slow painter. 2 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6191614 Share on other sites
Jukkiz
Well then, it took quite awhile but the Artel W "eldar" order finally arrived. Excellent casting quality, not brittle but not too soft. Minimal cleaning with gates and only miniscule flash. Now to hunt me some thin super glue and maybe make proper base for my lil Shaa hornet 2 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6191692 Share on other sites

Packing each mini in a separate bag also stopped me having a headache when I opened it. Lathe Biosas
It took me a while, but I finally finished the original Dawn of War trilogy. It's been so long the Warhammer 40k logo changed since I started. I waited in line the other week and got Cannibal Gate, but it's pretty short. It won't take me very long to read it... Any recommendations on what to read next? 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6191739 Share on other sites
sbarnby71
TiTH I (mostly) got my convert Kill Team Wolf Scout Pack Leader with a hunting buzzard/raven and Stormcast Eternal Bow done. I need to adjust the arm the buzzard/raven is on to be a bit more vertical (I had to pin it is place) and decide on shoulder pads. 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6192398 Share on other sites

Any recommendations on what to read next? I just saw you finished C.S. Goto's DoW trilogy and had to send you the support emoji. It's okay, we're here to help. 3 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6192608 Share on other sites
Evil Eye
YITHI printed out a legally distinct/Works With Leading Brand Rhino from Black Cat Cartel, along with the radar dish from their Not-Impulsor to make it into a Damocles! With the exception of the smoke launchers the entire thing is printed in Sunlu ABS-like 2.0 resin, AKA God's gift to the Disciples of Brrrr. The model itself is delightful, very well supported and IMO at least works perfectly as a weird obscure pattern of Rhino. So many 3D print files (vehicles especially) that aren't going for a 1:1 recreation tend to look out of place next to actual 40K models, but BCC's stuff manages to look like it could exist in the 40K setting whilst still having its own distinct aesthetic. I dunno, I really really like it; their stuff is up there with Nate Feyma as my favourite 40K vehicle STL maker. 4 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6192664 Share on other sites

sbarnby71
TITHI - mostly finished off my next Wolf Scout, using a Chaos Warrior body and shield, I wanted him to look like he's had to scavenge war gear as he's been in the field for a while, so he added protective runes to the Chaos shield. He still needs a backpack and some extra wrist armour on the spear arm to make it look thicker. 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6193019 Share on other sites

Lathe Biosas
Today I visited Target and grabbed one of the Warhammer Heroes blind boxes. Then I opened it up, using my totally safe method of, "one hand on knife, one hand on camera." and what did I get? uh... what did I get? oh! A witch hunter! looks like I can put her on a 40mm 32mm base and have a totally generic Inquisitor for 40k! Score one for me! Edited Wednesday at 10:58 AM by Lathe Biosas Inquisitor are on 32mm bases, not 40mm. 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/464/#findComment-6193104 Share on other sites
