Flint13
I thought he was a Red Night Lord for a second there.. Hah, I *knew* my Sevvy sense was tingling for a reason :D @ BadaBoom - I love your take on this guy. He's tall and rangy, the red and gray-black look lovely together, and I am always a fan of axes of any variety. KrautScientist
Oh my, I feel so stupid for only discovering now that you have a thread over here: I love your work, especially your World Eaters (no surprise there ;) ). On a somewhat related note, one of your excellent pieces of World Eater artwork (the one with the berzerker just about to sacrifice the Imperial psyker) recently inspired a conversion of mine. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2015/2/4/684323-Chaos%2C%20Chaos%20Space%20Marines%2C%20Chosen%2C%20Conversion%2C%20Khorne%2C%20Khorne%27s%20Eternal%20Hunt.JPG I did change a few things around, but the influence should still be fairly obvious. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the amazing work! Helias_Tancred
Dear Brother Badaboom, Your artwork is amazing! I enjoy it. Would you consider doing First Captain Sigismund? I know for me, and possibly others on here, he is one of the most favored characters of the WH40k genre. I'd give a body part (right testicle, or left pinky finger) to seem him rendered as he stood by Dorn's side in the Eisenstein, or when he led the assaults on Mars to secure the new armor stocks, etc. Love Sigismund! Thank you and your artwork is amazing and smile producing. Badaboom
GW needs to hire you! They have already done so ;) And Sigismund is high on my list. I even have a clear face for him in mind. I just need time! Awesome! Have you read his physical description? Its in the Flight of the Eisenstein book when Dorn and his entourage teleport onto the E. Anyways I'm excited he is high on your list! I assume you will post him in this thread? That Guy Matt
It's weird, just today I was looking at obscure Marine chapters on Lexicanum and clicked on the Exsanguinators. They had no scheme or much information at all over there. Now I'd love to see an army converted in this image. Firepower
The meeting of the abdominal and cheat armor is bugging me. It's so minor that it shouldn't, but I lock on to these things and they drive me nuts. The lower trim of the chest plate looks just a bit too far 'back,' or perhaps the upper trim of the abdominal plate is too far 'forward,' but either way it feels like the upper edge should be 'hanging' over the lower edge, if only by just a little bit more. It's a weird curve, and the edge is suddenly covered up by the robe, so I may or may not be the only one who sees something wrong in that spot. His left shoulder guard seems to protrude quite a bit compared to the sleeker, flatter one in the foreground, even taking its upward angle into account. Anyway! Obsessively compulsive nitpickery aside, lovely work. Very broody and darkish and such, with the subdued gothic backdrop and other iconic trappings on top of the general "I'll eat your soul's babies!" look of the star. Is he Ivan, or is that his gun's name? I feel like the pistol is more of a "Katy" or "June," personally. Dantay VI
You can see the background faintly through the left pauldron (our right) otherwise fan-freaking-tastic.
