Hey Y'all!

Here is my completed Angron. This has by far been the most challenging thing I have ever painted. It was a real treat. I have never seen a miniature with so much detail. I probably won't be tackling the scenic base for a while. Need to take a break from this project...

As always, any comments or criticism are welcomed and encouraged.  Thanks for looking!

Danny

Great job! That's a very lovely shade of bronze you've found, and honestly a very well done corpse too happy.png

I would agree with the comments about depth though - the face isn't bad, but the hands seem to have zero shading on them, and they all could use some more depth. In fact, I think all of him could - the armor has lots of great detail to pick out with washes and highlights, but the bronze is just too flat right now. The cloak too could use a biit of darkening in the shadows and then maybe a conservative extreme highlight in places.

Oh, have to say - excellent looking gore!

@Blindhamster - Thanks a lot.  The depth on the face is definitely a touch washed out in these photos, but I do think I pinned myself in a corner with the colour I chose.  I wanted him to have a pale "never sees the sun and sits inside brooding all day" kind of look to him and by the time I got to highlight shades they were not all too different from the base shade.  Live and learn.

@Robert2004 - Ha! It definitely took a long time.  I didn't really keep track, but if I guessed, I would say the whole model took somewhere in the region of 24 hours of work time.

@skillingspree - It may be the photos.  I have not really had a chance to tweak the photos (and am not particularly skilled in this practice) but will be trying to get some better shots later this week.  As for the armour, I started with a base of Warplock Bronze, then layered up Brass Scorpion into a highlight of Runelord Brass.  After that, I laid a liberal wash of Reikland Fleshshade over the whole model.  When the wash dried I then did a more focused wash of Reikland Fleshshade into the recesses and areas of shadow.  Finally, I applied another light layer over Brass Scorpion onto the edges and the large open areas.  Hope that makes sense!

@Artemid - Thank you for the valuable and constructive criticism.  See the comments above for @Blindhamster about the depth and skin tone.  As for the armour, I tried a silver or gold highlight and found it too harsh or out of place over the Bronze.  This was the best look I could come up with unless you have a suggestion?  The cloak is something I definitely would agree with.  It is easy to over highlight that piece and I think I may have gone too conservative.

@Sigur - Thank you!
