I also concur with the white shoulders, they remind me a lot of my original scheme for my Vanquishers Chapter, expect I made the whole arm silves instead of just the fists and gave them silver helms. Great minds think alike perhaps?

The name I also like a lot, unique and sounds very 40k Astartes Chaptery. The early line outs I read on the previous page all look good too, but in terms of a name for the homeworld, maybe slightly adjust the e in Toyes to become Toyés, so it's pronounced Toy-es/ez?

Well white shoulders was my original plan but I can't help but feel that the iron fist won't stand out as well. Of course I could do the circle behind it as purple. Well that and I suck at painting white

Speaking as a guy who thought 'If I put orange only on the shoulderpads, how bad can it be to paint?' I certainly feel your pain.

You could just use a nice dark grey for the symbol, though.

You could always leave the shoulders off when undercoating? Spray everything else black as a base for the purple, then spray the shoulders white, stick them on at the end, jobs (mostly) done! I know a few BT players who use this method.

That was the plan... so white shoulder pads it is...  I will get a rough full draft done soon and start a new topic IA: Interdictors as well now I have a name and colour scheme now its time to start painting and maybe a short story or two. The Path now gets underway fully...

Seems ironic after posting such a statement that my next post is about that I will, not so much fail the Path, as be required to walk it for a very very long time.  Recent changes in my life have required a reshuffle and rethink of my priorities and, as such, 40k has been required to take a much further back seat.  As I will now be required to work a second job on top of my already full time work just so my wife and I can afford to live... well lets just say free time will be at a premium.  Note that I still desire to complete both the IA, an army and the Deathwatch stories, or at least a variant there of so I am not gone, just not going to have anywhere near the free time as before.  I do hope I can instead be more active with the little updates I make but it seems that its back to the Deepest Darkest Depths of Liber for me for at least the foreseeable future...

No need to apologize, SP. Family and RL should always come first. We'll be here (and there if needed) to support you and the Path.

As Messor says, no need to apologise. We understand and Family and "the Meatspace" comes first every time. When you find the time, we will be here to help guide you down the Path, but until that time, don't worry and focus on RL. :)
