As soon as my vanguard vets get in I should have some kit bashed RAS up. Thinking ahead I may do a Libby and a sanguinary priest for the next vow.

I was most pleased with a base coat of white, lite application of sepia wash, then 2-4 layers of Lamenter yelow glaze.

 

So not really hard :)

Some amazing progress here guys, kudos! Having just returned from a trip to Stockholm I'm literally sitting at my paint desk, working on my stuff. Since I'm on vacation, I expect the two priests to be finished on the weekend, work and work-out have kept me in their cold, sweat-drenched claws!

Not exactly stock, Sanguinor came without the pack, and i didn't like some bits, ie Asty's axe. Too small, not imposing.

Well..... i either need to take way better pictures, or i am a much worse painter that i've thought to be....

I should have seen the difference, the power weapons especially. :) I have some power weapons of the same blue quality. I'm considering giving them some sort of wash. It's a pale blue that's very "strong".

Don't worry about it Taranis, i was just joking. I know where i stand as a painter, and i'm good with it for now. For the future, i can just strip the paint 

Speaking of which, it took me a while more than a weekend, but here we go:

Not too satisfied with the Sanguinor's sword, but i don't really know what to do about it. I lack the precision to paint energy surges all over the blade, but a simple wash looks all gooey and slimy, so rather than ruin a decent job i'll leave it flat. Doesn't look bad once fielded for a game anyway.

@xmercx. I like your result. It's always good to see others take on models. I have 3 pods base coated black with gold symbols. I'm not yet sure how I'll finish them. They have waited 2 years so far... Congratulations on completing your second vow and 3rd vow declaration. You are now the one in front carrying the standard of the IX legion. :)
