So yeah, MagicMan will be painting my Sons of Medusa

I really like these guys, the little personal bits really make them pop and man, that plasma gun is looking awesome. What is the process for getting it to pop like that?

Hahaha, only if you want 10 guys done in 3 years. :P

And it was pretty easy. Painted the coils/vents etc white, used some watered down white to go around these areas.
Watered down some Ice Blue (probably has a new name now, a very light blue) then painted it over the top.

Cleaned up around the vents where there was too much plasma. Done! Two steps, nice results.

At your post-moving post I saw the Lord Executioner model unpainted. Any chance you swapped the head on that? and got it painted?

I'm using it as my count's as Dante for my BA Successor Chapter and wanted to see more conversions for it.

If you look closely you can see I've swapped the head for the Forge World Legion Champion model, but that guy is still in pieces. Im not sure if i want to create my own Captain, or create the famous Anton Narvaez. So stay tuned and you'll see him soon.

Yep, the plasma gun is fantastic. I'm keen to see what something something similar will look like on the old school grav guns in the boarding shield pack. I just got some for my siege van and would like to use a green glow in the same manner as you have with the blue plasma.

 

And oh, I meant the helmets. They looked awesome, but I suppose you have to go with the IA.

Obviously very WIP, funky blue taccing etc.

Btw, I don't advise anyone with little patience to attempt blue tacking a mini together with shaky 'work-out' arms, lol. Very annoying!

Captain woe's are still ongoing! Do I make a kickass Anton? Or do i make a more useful ingame, Captain of my own devising?

Not sure yet. It could be Anton either way i suppose, not like he's always going to carry the same weapons around.


Anyway, built my first ever Vehicle the other day! Everything else i've bought has been second hand, so this was really fun for me. I also magnetised it, because... why not? Haha.

Apart from sticking the rear door on the wrong way, and then clipping some of it off to make it fit before realising my error (Woops) it went together well.

Hopefully my next update will see it painted, thanks for looking!

I think that he has the perfect foundation for an Anton Narvaez model; but the real test/question is: how are you going to model the Actinic Halo relic he has?  A standard Iron Halo just isnt going to cut imo.

Oh man, do I ever know that feeling; its why I only work on models after leg days or cardio days.

Anyway bit boring but is a WIP thread! The tanks coming along, was fun and suprisingly quick to paint actually. Using a huge brush helped. Im looking forwards to more vehicles now.

Lol thats actually an awesome idea! Maybe take a Vindicator in a boarding torpedo, too?

And i messed up my Predator, starting over. Vehicle weathering is different... and scary.

So yeah, Predator is on hold slightly after i ****ed up the weathering on it, so its time for something new... Something half blue...

He's pretty much finished. Just the writing on the large scrollwork to do. Im not confident enough at that yet, so it can wait.

Its not Anton, but Anton isn't much use to my army atm. Im saving him for a display figure, when i've got the right bits...

Or maybe its Anton using different weapons, who knows....

I think it goes:

• Legion Champion body and legs (his armour is already half-and-half from two different Marks, so kudos for using that with a half-and-half scheme!)
• Lord Executioner jump pack
• Vanguard Veteran boxset for the rest

EDIT: Oops, missed the torso. So that's legs from Legion Champion, torso also from Lord Executioner (I think?).
