Merry Xmas Guys!

Chaplain.  I think I'm going to put the feathered doors on the stormraven side.  One front door on one of the pred, and the remaining doors on a super pimped out rhino!

Tease for the next batrep! Necrons and BT vs Dark Eldar and Daemons!

http://www.3dluvr.com/crossbow/warhammer/tease.jpg

This post won't be productive in any way... but from this perspective, your dread looks like he's got one leg laugh.png

And to add something more: it's great to see a painted army on the tabletop. Whereas your alliance seems dubious at best, but I can understand the rationale behind such actions. Demons are nastier than Necrons! I once had to suspend some witch-burning to stop an onslaught of orks with a Stompa.

Personally, I love 2v2 battles. There's usually much more fun in them than in regular 1v1 encounters. However, sometimes it's hard to find a "proper" ally.

It's been awhile. I'm still here painting away...but you would all burn me at the stake if you saw all the things I was painting.

To purge some of the xenos filth on my hands, here are some shots of my new battle mat from frontline gaming! It's a really nice mat!

They are much thicker then the GW mat.  It lays flat very easily, and doesn't really need to be spread out or pulled on to make a nice surface.  It isn't thick enough to hide surface imperfections (if you place it between two tables, it'll dip in the edge between them).  That's why i have it sitting on my other gaming surface.

I think you'd run into any issue with long term play on a mat.  Your main culprit is going to be the edges.  If they are exposed, I'm sure they will eventually fray.

If you notice on front line gaming, they have sides that the mat then sits down into.  Dual purpose for dice rolling, and also helps to protect the edges of the mat.

We have about half a dozen games setup near the end of the month, I'll report back on it's durability!

Updates galore!

Thanks! Yup, all the city scape is mine. Slowly pieced together over quite a long time. Some of the pieces are from ebay (the painted ones). I'm an extremely patient ebay'er, and sometimes find some incredible deals. (one of those painted buildings was 22 shipped!) The plastic buildings are from a friend who bought an imperial sector, and a fortress of redemption, then decided 40k wasn't for him anymore and donated them all to the group!

Very cool terain set up you have, defenatly adds to the look of all your finished models. Your termies are looking mint with there tabards and power swords, you can never have enough tabbard termmies. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Shot from the end of the game this weekend. Will have the battle report up on Wednesday! Was pretty freaking epic. (sisters and templars vs necrons and dark eldar)

Such quality in these pictures here Greggles.

Go forth with faith and honor brothers and sisters!  Stand united and make these soulless wretches pay for those who gave their lives on Sanctuary and Schrödinger VII!  Through fire and zeal we shall prevail, ATTACK!

That's actually the turn dice.  I liked how some of the bat rep videos used a large dice to keep track of the turns.  So we use a dice, plus a figure to denote which side the turn is on.  In this photo, the necron is standing up, so it's turn 5, necron.   I find when everyone is enjoying some beverages, you can kinda of mix up what turn it is.

Another angle of the same shot (working on batrep!)

Greetings everyone! Time for another FYN battle report! This time it was BAO Tourney #5, and the sisters and BT vs the xenos scum! Enjoy! (click the image or link)

Adepta Sororitas and Black Templar vs Necron and Dark Eldar

Thanks for reading!

You fought well brother!.  I am impressed at the resolve of the warriors of the Adepta Sororitas, they held their ground despite the odds.  Had the Templar strikeforce arrived sooner the battle would have certainly been yours, perhaps maybe use some drop pods next time?  I do love me some sweet storm raven action though, so mobile and yet still so powerful.

Regardless, a minor setback.  Those necrons think they shall escape the wrath of the Templars?  Nay, they shall pay for the brave sisters they and their dark eldar allies have slain today.  Onward brothers!  These craven wretches shall learn what happens to those who dare oppose the knights of Sigismund!  Vengeance my brothers and sisters!  The servants of the Emperor shall not be denied!

Thanks!  Ya I made a few tactical errors.  But hey,  can't just post the wins.  I think had the game continued I would have grasped victory from those heathen xenos scum.  The wraiths making 30+ saves, followed by the templars being delayed in orbit really paid the toll.  Next time they won't be so lucky. :)  Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
