Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what I am building ;)

Still a very rough first assembly, yet. What do you all think?

Darth Mustard - thanks! In reality, this model is one of my oldest surviving Daemon models from back in the day of 3rd edition, and one of his horns broke long ago. I fashioned a new pair of horns when he was last refurbished, but those sadly broke. The model just didn't survive very well, so I stripped it and took the opportunity to fix up his horns (and really weird musculature that I sculpted...).

Cheers Biohazard! That subtle repositioning took far more time than it should have, but I think it's totally worth it smile.png

The conversion is pretty much complete, there are only a few small details left to fix up.

Like the other Bloodthirster, I've used Vallejo Plastic Putty to add some texture to some areas. The original model has some stubbly fur around his shoulders and the base of his wings, so stippling this stuff on added this effect to the sculpted areas.

And...oh god, I think I've gone Bloodthirster crazy.

This poor guy has been WIP for years, but I finally gave up the direction I was going with him yesterday and restarted. He'll also be getting quite a lot of Daemon Prince parts to fill him out. Like the other guy, his legs and torso have been slightly repositioned - this time in a wider stance.

Enjoy! smile.png

Again Im loving the work on the BloodThirster, I went off the model years ago but you are making me appreciate it a lot more. The slight changes youre making make a huge difference to the look of the model, what are your plans for this guys head?

Progress!

Bloodthirster no. 3 is now at a stage where I'm happy enough with him, so I've hit him with the first coat of red:

Haven't yet come up with any fluff for him, but that will come to be eventually smile.png

Bloodthirster no. 4 is also progressing slightly, with a couple of wicked weapon-arms for some brutal combat:

I like to imagine him being punished by Khorne for losing or breaking his weapons, by having those weapons replace his very hands tongue.png

And, finally, I have another mob of Flesh Hounds ready for the hunt:

Eventually I plan on mixing these guys in with the other pack, just for some more variety.

The ones at the back are only basecoated. The shiny ones in the middle are base coated and have had their Agrax Earthshade wash.

These ones at the front have their red completely finished - another coat of Khorne Red, followed by Wazdakka Red, a highlight of Wazdakka Red and VGC Pale Flesh, and a final wash of Ogryn Flesh.

Enjoy!

They are Puppetswar Bargheists. Absolutely amazing sculpts, with three flaws: they only have three poses; the 3D printing method they used for the masters left some 'stepping' texture on the surfaces; and the casts are filled with mould lines, gaps and bubbles (though I can forgive them for this, since it looks like the bodies are cast with a complex three-part mould?).

Still, thoroughly impressed by the models. Contrasting to the goofy old GW metals, these have been an absolute pleasure to paint so far.
