Guardians of the Saint - Dark Angel & Imperial Guard WIP

Hello Thar,

 

 

 

I have decided to start my new Dark Angel (Deathwing Knights!!)

& Imperial Guard Army.

 

 

 

This is mostly a theme based army (this army is commanded by Valten-Corevex a captain of the “Guardians of the Saint” a successor chapter of the Dark Angels, so along with his veterans and a handful of knights as well as a few loyal regiments of Guardsmen that served him (from previous missions). He and his men deployed on a rim world been assaulted to help the civilians before they are all killed converted or worse. Basic fluff behind the army.

 

The first unit is the Deathwing Knights

Knight-Master Arco 90% complete but not sure if I should add mud effects or some rustic washes to the lower half of his body and some blood to the sword due to the decapitated Xeno, I used a sword acquired from the inquisition as I thought it had a more knightly feel than a flail.

The next unit I think with be a unit of Veteran marines or Imperial guardsmen what do you guys think?

Ah, yes, acquired from the inquisition.

The sword looks better than the flail in my opinion. They're both well painted. Is that helmet from a guardian or a kabalite warrior?

Swords are definetly better for the unforgiven. You have a very nice and clean painting technique, well done, these look great.

They certainly look more serious with swords instead of censers for weapons. Well painted.
