Progress has been slow... but there's still progress!  For my promised update, here's two of the Kill Company's leadership and the company's command squad, in various stages of completion:

First up is Brother Kurnus, of the Executioners. When he isn't getting shot to death for looking so impressive, he enjoys chopping things with his axe, especially faces.

Next up is Brother-Apothecary Marcus, of the Invectors.  He enjoys patching up his battle brothers, preserving the holy geneseed, and yelling unkind words at his foes.

Behold!  Cormac Airt's Publius Kadrias, of the War Consuls!  The pic is blurry, I know.  I'll get a better one when he's finished. Promise. He currently enjoys the position of Chief Librarian of the Watch Fortress, and recently force-staffed a Chaos Lord with daemon weapon to death (hilarious).

And here, the commander of the Kill Company, the gloriously named Captain Ubriculius of the Libators, known for his daring assaults, bold maneuvers, and insane courage (there's a joke in there somewhere, kudos if you get it).

I... paint strangely.  I look over the model, pick a part, paint it, wash out the brush and repeat until done.

And yes, I know they're all over-equipped, but this is supposed to be the kill-company's most decorated veterans, so they deserve sweet gear.

Update time!  Not much today (curse my slothfulness!) but I've got two models to show off.

I give you the completed Captain Ubriculius of the Libators.  I couldn't write his name small enough to fit on his shoulder, so I shortened it to his nickname: Bric. Overall I'm pretty pleased with him.

Here's the completed Epistolary Publius Kadrias, of the War Consuls.  The pic on the right is a little blurry, but it's really just there to show his chapter symbol again.  I tried doing some special psykery stuff with the eyes, but I'm not sure how I feel about how it turned out.  Nothing I can do about it now, since he's purity sealed.

They look great, love Deathwatch armies - I'll keep an eye out when you need some more Chapters, I have a few DIYs you could use. The Sternguard kit is really good for bits!

Think the Son of Medusa is my favourite and I may just make my next Deathwatch member a son of Ferrus in honour of him :D

 

Will also need to get myself a box of the new Sternguard at some point.
