Thanks for all the kind word. They really are appreciated, as they show that some people look at my work and enjoy it.

Lord Andreas, the base for the inquisitor is called "Alaine, female paladin" from reaper miniatures. Just a word of warning: she is roughly as tall as a Space Marine, maybe even bid taller (depends on the perspective, I guess). That was quite a big issue for me when I 'discovered' that nasty fact.

As it often is with me, I'm starting numerous projects to leave them after some time. I'm trying now hard to change that, and limit myself to two ongoing projects: one scratch-building and one painting. That way I'm hoping to have a steady progress of things. I managed to paint a Black Templars Relic Contemptor and without much further ado, here are the pictures:

It seems that dreadnought are now the thing for me, as I'm currently working on an Ironclad:

Progress on the highlights. It took me two hours to get from this:

I'm not sure if the amount of time and work shows in the quality of the edges, though. I'm finding it annoying to discover that my pace is becoming slower and slower. Anyhow... C&C as always welcome. Thanks for reading! :)

Years have passed since I've updated this thread. This is due largely to two facts: I'm not a consistent hobbyist and I've posted most of my progress in the thread in the Black Tempalrs subforum. But, as I'm proud of having actually finished painting some models (unfortunately, only 'finished painting', not 'finished as such' because the bases are still in a raw condition) and I remembered about this thread, I decided to post some pictures of my Black Templar Centurions. Let me know what you think!

I want to share something red. Below are some photos of my Thunderfire with a Techmarine gunner and my (ekhem) Master of the Forge with all the equipment one needs to mend a tank, kills some xenos and watch a favourite TV series at the same time.

The MotF is equipped with two servo arms for HEAVY lifting, a plasma cutter and a flamer, a conversion beamer and a 'handy' servo arm for precision work, welding, holding beer and what not. In total, it seems, he wears a servo harness weighting an equivalent of a storm talon (and that is why he's kind of short - the weight shrinks him a bit), but that's no problem because he has further reinforced power armour, especially the leg compartments, to help the MotF move with a reasonable speed. On the other hand, the servo arms (which may not be that visible in the pictures) are designed to move across more plains than the standard equipment used by most techmarines, which thanks to an array of sensors and cameras allows Mr MotF to limit the necessary movements to a minimum.

I got myself to finish a squad of Sword Brethren which took me about 5 years to finish. The models were painted at various stages of development of my skills, so I updated them to a more or less consistent standard. Unfortunately, as the photos show, I actually will have to do something about the faces of the two Templars below. These classic Templar Models were always somewhat special to me, a shame they didn't see much action back when I used to play the game.

Here they are:
