Oh, yeah. About that. I might have shot that by accident. Saw blue, thought Ultramarine. My bad.

Oh not again. Skinning pits running low on victims now! Curse you :P

Ahem.

Legion brothers, as I'm about to embark on my (2nd) attempt on a Sevatar, do any of you know where I could find the paint recipe for FW's version? Specifically the nice blue they've got going. The old scheme when they admitted to using non-Gw paints version, preferably.

Thanks all :)

I had this recipe saved from somewhere, but I'm not sure if it's the right one.

Black undercoat

Drybrushed with Rub&Buff Pewter

Mix of Tamiya Clear Red and Clear Blue applied in very thin layers

Airbrushed with Auto Air Transparent Blue

Hey friends, do you guys think he needs to be more Night Lordy or that he's good as is?

Might I humbly suggest instead of going for the FW scheme you look at this:

Before you say anything I know it's a commission job however the painter (Myles) has a tutorial on how to paint Curze in the same way and it's amazing and to me at least fairly straight forward, so much so that's what I'll be doing on my ETL Curze (yeah I know AoD and all that)

Thanks for the idea :)

Usually though I only do the blending effects for my characters and I want it to be consistent with my other dread and vehicles

I came across this in my search for a scheme, and damn it is gorgeous. I'm probably going to try to follow the tutorial (I think I know the one you're referring to) for my next Curze, but until I actually get round to clearing a space for airbrushing that scheme might be a step out of reach, all the blending is hell with just a brush :(  But thanks for the suggestion!

I know in dark king is described much like how sevatars helmet looks but primarchified.

Is a step up from the corax helm but looks a bit too chaosy for Night Lords of that era. I know what I'm trying to say and thoroughly doubt it's coming out right

It's passable, but not by much in my opinion. Honestly, my main gripe with it is that they seemed to take one of the Gw night lords heads, and just make it fancier. Has much more design similarities with the Gw ones than fw ones. I've always just been looking for a slightly larger raptor or terror squad helm, not this. Plus how is the head meant to move between the ears and the pads. Okay, but not for me.

Tbh, a night raptor head actually fits quite well :/
