Hey y'all, it's better a while, however I'm almost done with college apps and then I can wade into my lovely hobby again!

 

So I'm excited to look into getting burning of prospero, however I'm now in a dilemma. What armor MK shall I use to represent my terror marines? The MK 4 seems like it would be the quintessential piece for a Terror marine, light, hi-tech, fits with all the conversion bits and sexy. But there's something strange that draws me to the MK 3s, I just love the brutatilty and the medieval look to them. I'm intending for my Terror squads to be shocktroops, leading the way for a charge through trench lines or barricades , fluff wise. Any ideas?

Very much this. Funny enough, when I first saw the term "terror squad", I pictured them in MKIII. Iron Armourus just so Schock Troops in my mind. After the BoC box hit, I just couldn't bring myself to make the MK IV into Terror Squads. When plastic MK III proved to be real, I basically jumped at the conclusion that I could finally justify a HH Night Lord Terror Assault force around a core of glorious MK III iron. Since I also pictured my force with a decent focus on void warfare and boarding actions, the MK III seems like a natural choice for NL to me.

^Got tired of paint yellow did you??? LOL.   These look Ace! I like what you did with the banner and it being flesh rather then cloth.  Adds that extra layer of "uummph" to the terror the Night Lords bring.

They are very different Augustus but still one of my favourite armies here on B&C and one of the armies that inspired me to start Night Lords. They are awesome btw, particularly like the flesh standard :D

Ooh I think that Augustus may have just pushed me towards doing MK 3 for terrror squads. Might just go half and half

 

Only problem is I got to figure out what to do with the terrror upgrade head sets now. How have people found them on MK 3? Does it look out of place?

Praetor nox in charge : Var Jahan, Kyroptera member, 27th Company captain .

Second commanders :

Malcharion "The War-Sage", Kyroptera member, 10th company captain.

Seynivarian N'kaal "The scaly-one" , 88th company captain.

Captain : Seynivarian N'kaal "the scaly-one"

 

Seynivarian was a terran born Night lords from the early VIII Legion.

Acceding the capitaine rank a few year before the Legion was reunited with the Primarch he was rapidly known for being more a tactician than a murderer and get noticed for this skills in matter of unusual warfare. He and his Company get to be assigned along with the Alpha legion on many theater and it get to influence even more is way of bringing fear and chaos to a foe. This earn him the name of "scaly-one" within the Legion and is compagnie is one of the most secretives of the Night lords.

Thanks brother ! The hand and the sword came from the Vampire knight on zombie-dragon, I just cut the blade and replace it with on of the Sanguinary Guard ;)

Brother, I definitely find your Night Haunter much better than the FW version mostly because of the way you painted his face. The fact that you use this ashen colour makes him more impressive.

So by the rule of the strongest, I take what's mine and I do clame the  88th Compagny "the Erinyes brotherhood" for me to command !

If one of you is not ok with that, we can organise a peacefull meeting juste between the two of us (And my Atramantar plus one or two leviathans dreads of mine) in order to talk about it :).

Great job! I agree with Celtic_Couldron that the FW paintjob is a bit off when it comes to the face. I never liked his hair - it looks like a wig. Maybe 'couse it's a separate piece on the model (I saw a few pictures of the raw, unpainted bits). You somehow managed to make him look dignified and the blood on his mouth is awesome.
