Agreed.

Those Terminators are great. The only thing missing are the specific shoulder pads to designate them as Atramentars (meaning the Nostraman Lion on the pads) and I hope FW will make something in that direction in a not so far future.

*Atrementar - without the 's' - is already the plural. It's a plurale tantum - a word that has no singular form. A singular member of the Atrementar is referred to just like that - a member of the Atrementar. :wink::thumbsup:

EDIT:

@ Nemac: DUUUUUUDE that's a nice version of that sweet sweet Librarian. How's about Valdec Cel for his name?

@Augustus: I recognize my failure and will make sure to correct it. ^^

Haha, just flay a Dark Angel and you're good.:wink:

Is conquering a whole planet kicking some Sons of the Lion's armoured butts is also ok?

If so, I think I may be able to avoid the Sinner's Gauntlets.

If not, I can add also Eldar and Blood Angels to the whole (I do not account for Mechanicum thralls and regular Human troops)... ^^

Poor timing on my part to follow such superb artistry. But just so that poor mortals are not forgotten, here are my latest band of Night Lords Raptors. Brushwork only and with my warband's preference for a really dark "midnight clad".

Edit: Link repaired.

Great Librarian! I prefer your paintjob to the official one :) I always wondered if the limited minis started off as a character models.

A lot of people think that the ultramarine with the icon was supposed to be Captain Remus Ventanus (he has the same gear) but they dropped the idea.

Usually the limited minis don't have legion specific stuff like the toilet seat icon.

I have a question. Did our boys in blue get one of these?

I',m finishing my melta support squad and have no idea what kind of marking to give them on their right pauldrons.

Not too my knowledge. If you go by the pictures of the NL legionnaires we have so far maybe go for a bone pauldron? there's a support squad member in there with a bone torso if I remember correctly. Here's what I can find though, maybe draw inspiration from one of these.

Edit: Maybe a Rune?

Alright then fellow members of the VIIIth, and associated warbands. The time has now come for us to get our own 40k rules, so, what do you expect? Just relics and formations? Please, comment to your blackened heart's content.

Myself, the incessant pessimist I am, fully expect 80% of our bonuses and relics will be based around fear. That oh so useful rule. Maybe a chainglaive if we're lucky :P

Regarding units, as Legion Traits:

- Night Vision;

- Fear;

- VoTLW;

- specific rule to decrease enemy's leadership (like 2nd ed. Warp Amp) that can be enhanced by dirge casters.

Hit and Run for the Raptors and Warp Talons in addition to those mentionned above.

Standard equipment: Nostraman Chainglaive, as in HH book 3.

Relics: I could expect some naughty blades or lightning claws, the Corona Nox, a specific Helmet or some macabre trophies, maybe runes to allow our Sorcerers to have access to Divination.

Warlord Traits: Maybe something in relation with night fighting (like forcing night fighting during the whole game), exotic deployments/reserves (from any side or even from the enemy's very rear)

Formations: something akin the Raptor Talon and/or the Terror assault force from HH3.

Sorry but no I did not forget. Fact is its implementation into the Night Lords' rule set is still pending as the development team is still considering the following alternative: "If the battle drags on, backstabbing your opponent results in an official draw that can't be dismissed in any way"

Decision should be made by the end of this year.

Just hopping that all the love won't be for the Raptor alone ... ^^ Even if they are kinda cool I personally prefer my army without a compulsory raptor squad.

Preach brother! There's more to Night Lords than night vision and jump packs! But realistically, we're probably going to be pigeonholed into it. Again.

You forgot the most important rule.

If the battle drags on, headbutting your opponent results in an official draw that can't be dismissed in any way.

Sorry, but Knight of the Raven's idea wins. So much. :D
