"The Marked" Currently led by Sergeant Var'koth along with an unnamed Sorcerer following the death of Captain Malekai. All under the Command of Lord Command Chyld.

Strength: 6 under-stength Claws and one Contemptor Dreadnought due to penitent crusade ordered by Lord Chyld.

They are the 8th Company of the 8th Grand Company (8th/VII). The Grand Company is led by Lord Commander Chyld (I'll let Neph introduce them himself). The Marked are currently operating from an old Apocalypse Class Battleship they "secured" shortly before the Gothic War.

Hey guys,

Now that ive added my Lords honour guard unit being the Shadow Hawks Night Raptor Squad (to my page 37 post) that follow Zso Sahaals original teachings, I was wondering if Zso Sahaals original Raptors would have been 1st Company? And if he was elevated to 1st Captain with Sevatars "Demise" it make sense that like the Atramentar the specialised Night Raptor Squads would have drifted to find someone to follow if Zso Sahaals replacement didnt match up.

So Zaqars Warband would be classified as remnants of 1st Company? But if the Terror squads etc came from other companies would this still be the case? I would classify them myself as an Unknown Designation

Warband of Eviscerated Truth Led By Zaqar Kal Druaga

I don't want to open that can of worms again

I should rephrase my question, at what point would a Warband not be classified by previous company designation? Also would there be several Warbands classified as a certain company?

When it is only 1/4 made up of its original company designation or more? The Exalted's Warband was made up of a fair few Atramentar from first company and then the Bleeding eyes cult (30 at the start if memory serves well) who are likely to be from a mixture of Companies of The VII Legion.

Well here's the thing, it is all up to you. You(the player) decide if your Night Raptors are actually part of Talonmaster Zso Sahaal's Raptors, as not all were. You decide at what point in their history they decided to stop calling themselves "Ninth Talon of the Sixteenth Company" and began calling themselves the "Wailing Fear"(example names).

You decide at what point the numbers of those who are not Heresy vets, or even those who were not originally Night Lords, outnumber those who once fought under Curze.

You even get to decide if that matters, if the warband still wears the midnight clad of old because that's the color it has always worn, or if it even throws away that last tie in an effort to create its own identity with the only remaining vestige being a doctrine of instilling fear.

There is no set standard. You have complete and total control. Look at the Tenth Company. By the time we reach Void Stalker, probably only a quarter were originally Tenth Company. Thrown into that mix you get Variel, the Bleeding Eyes and the other survivors of Crythe. But it still called itself the 10th Company. Why? Because it chose to. That's how Talos identified with it and so that's how it identified with itself.

That was very well put, now you mention it Tenth Company was used by Talos not The Exalted so I guess it is all in the eyes of the beholder (or the guy in charge).
