Only victory is honourable - White scars - Siege of Terra

Great kitbashing, good GS work.  It's a little thing, but I like the position you found for that pouch on the first legionare's right thigh.  It fits right in between the rivets and against the raised lip of that plate, and is right where anyone would want a pouch (or pocket) to be.

Many many thanks for the support. I got rid of the mold line, well spotted smile.png

Friggin beautiful.  I am a White Scars fan, and it looks like justice will be done for these fellows!

I want to know though, what tools are you using to cut the appendages so you can realign them?  I am looking to purchase some FW stuff soon and want to ensure I do it right.

Again, beautiful!  I love that armour!

Great start brother. mkiii for scars though? Didn't think they were that keen on heavy assault?

It's important to remember that they're all still Space Marine Legions.

While they might want to ride around on bikes and sport sweet mustaches, sometimes you just gotta suit up and step into the breach. It's important to not let a Legion's trope overrun the fact that they're still all Space Marines, designed for, and tasked with, conquering an entire galaxy in a fairly short amount of time.

Damn skippy.

Not to mention their poster from Forgeworld(which is coincidentally the image linked in the OP) is Mk III. Besides, it has a rustic feel to it that coincides nicely with the aura of sheer brutality that it gives off.

On topic, looks like you're off to a good start. Not nearly enough White Scars around here for my taste.

It's actually Mk II.

Though the White Scars did sally from times to times (or even possibly most of the time), they did have to man the walls at some point. Besides, "I like the way it looks" is a valid tactic in the hobby.

He looks good. Is that an Anvil Industry pauldron on his right shoulder?

It's a Mk III helmet at least :) For my pov, I'm pretty sure WS do make heavy assault, especially "naval" (space) boarding. But anyway, the look is the main reason, with the fact I would like to have kind of brutal WS.

Indeed, it's a Anvil industry pauldron, the main reason being they're smaller, and given the pose the Mk III / iV didn't fit.

Mark three was marginally slower when compared to other suits, to my recollection no mention is made if the legionaries genhanced strength and speed is mitigated when fighting common enemies. It also required more maintenance post battle. The argument against mark 3 seems more in line with the argument against cataphractii plate, which was, on the whole, less maneuverable, but didn't effect speed in combat, as evidenced by its background and in game rules.

Exactly, in the BL blog, Chris Wraight says "their void-war skills are legendary" - so its not all about stuff with big engines :P - seeing as they're space warfare specialists too, you could always say your brotherhood is a dedicated void war detatchment, pressed into service on Terra due to the whole most important conflict in the Imperium's history thing - thats a license to use MK III if ever there was one

Thanks again for the kind words. I'll be beginning the painting process when I'll have a full squad, cause I want to experiment my new airbrush smile.png
