Love the biker scheme (especially the apothecary) and how your vehicle squad has turned out. But, the real question is: when are you going to get bored of the yellow ragamuffins and return to the glory of the VIIIth Legion? ;)

@Brother-Captain Arkhan: Thanks buddy! I'm glad it worked out the way it is. Are there pictures online somewhere of your VII army I can look at for inspiration?

@Brother Heinrich: Cheers buddy! It's not so mich work ethic as a complete weekend for myself, that suddenly came free. Ore a matter of the right circumstances! :tu:

@SkimaskMohawk: Thanks, and that's a hard question. Chaos is and will remain my biggest love, and I still have tons of projects shelved. But for now I'm a tad burned out. I gotta get the flow of IF inspiration going for now. I'm sure the chaos vibe will be back when we have to defend our title as Primus Inter Pares during ETL V. ;)

@Psykic_scribe: cheers buddy! Yeah, bikers with storm shield and FNP are a pain in the ass o get rid off. It's how they roll! Literally ;) I don't have a landspeeder yet, but will certainly get one of course. That squadron was built with that formation in mind :tu:

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow I'll be buying myself a new tact squad and continue building and painting two five man squads with heavy weapons, as well as finishing the devastators. Alas, one of the spotlights in my photobooth broke, so I won;t be able to get the usual high-quality pics up.

I got the idea to expand my 1250 army to about 1850, where the Chaplain and the Captain of the two demi companies are seated on a bike. So I started building a Chaplain on bike - which turned out to be a lot of fun. I used the skull helmet from the FW Night Lords helmet kit, and put a laurel on it. The servitor cherub is one of the Blessed Omni-retinue from Puppetswar, with a regular GW servo skull as a replacement for the baby head.

Here are the three devastators I did up to now.

The sergeant (super standard, built right out of the kit) with the flying meltabomb baby.

And two lascannon wielding devastators.

I hope you like them. Thanks for looking and feedback welcome as always!

@zxyogi: Sweet as? As wat? As ass? ;)

@Tarvick: Yeah mate, thanks. I love it too - for the first time ever I'm actually looking forward to painting more bikers! One thing though "Dat las"? Wut you mean?

@Flint13: I love some salt and pepper on my bananas. :tongue.:

@helterskelter: Gush away, bro! I dis it out, so I can take it! Wait.... did I say that out load?

@Kight of the Raven: Hhaha thanks buddy! And that apothecary by kizzdougs is indeed beautiful. It deservedly landed him the Most Impressive Miniature badge last year's ETL.

@Teetengee: Sure! Will do tomorrow, after I've rebased the apothecary. Would that be alright?

Well it's nice to see some things in life are constant, I'm lying low for a couple of weeks and you deliver a ton of great looking miniatures in the same time! Too many of them to comment on individually but keep up the good work!

Amazing work! These guys are coming together fast, and looking stellar. This pretty much sets the bar for great-looking yellow on Fists, in my book.

That black and white thing you've got going does a great job at breaking up what would otherwise be a great banana expanse.

Excellent work!

Great banana expanse? You say the weirdest/funniest stuff sometimes. :D

I hate to say it now that they're painted, mate, but mould lines! The legs of the lascannon boys have very clear ones, particularly the crouching marine.

The Apothecary and all 3 (3!!! Ridiculous speed) Whirlwinds are typically excellent.

This is absolutely boss.

Both side doors have the quartered shield in black-and-white iconography of the Fifth Company.

The sense of motion you've gotten into the Deredo is outstanding in a model whose typical build is so static.

@Teetengee: thanks buddy! Yes, beakies for the win!

@MrBear:"a constant".... are you implying I am a force of nature????

@sockwithaticket: Argh! Yes, I've noticed them too - I got a little too excited about the 2nd edition-style decastator legs after buying the kit and built and undercoated them without thinking about modl lines. My terrible mistake indeed. :sad.: Thanks for the comments - also about the whirlwind - glad you like the 5th company door  The deredeo is close to being ready for paint.

@Tarvick: AAahhahahahaaaah dude please keep 'm comin'. I love jokes that are too terrible to immediately understand. The worse they are, the better. :biggrin.::biggrin.::thumbsup::wink:

@Midnight Runner: Haha another one for the books there. ;)

@SkimaskMohawk: Shhhhh!

Awesome apothecary! The colours are really striking!

And what kind of slaaneshi drugs do you use to paint at such an extreme speed?! Three whirlwinds, come on! :laugh.:

Nice to see that cool chaplain, even though it meant I have lost...

That's going to be a very cool chaplain.

My preference would be to reverse the crozius so that the skull eyes on the crozius, the skull helmet and the servitor all alight for one cool pic, but yes, in 3D your version this makes all views interesting.
