OK guys, I changed the list around somewhat, to make a better distinction between my main army - the 1250 point tournament list I´m building, and the additions I have planned for the foreseeable future (gotta stay busy until the ETL). I'd love for it to have the miniatures in my main army be named first.

Tactical Squads II, IV and VI; both Assault Bikes, most of the Devastator Squads IX and X, and all scouts are still in need of names!

@guardian31: Cheers buddy! The name you chose 'Vilm Amsul' is up there now on a battle brother, which completes I Tactical Squad!

@KrautScientist: Thanks! Volt Gerbrandt is an awesome name for the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought.

@Flint13: Honoured Haekon Druss it is for the company Vexila

@the emperor is scottish: Ivor Adlhaerd is an awesome name for a Venerable Dreadnought that shows the strong, strong ties of the Imperial Fists to their successor chapters....

I've finished building I Tactical Squad. Here they are. INcidentally, Uveron: you really need to PM me a name, buddy!

Here's the mini's with their prospective names.

Veteran sergeant - Reuben Knas - [named after my buddy Ruben, who traded me the 40K 25th anniversary mini that is the base of the mini]

Battle Brother - Tomak Kati - The_Hydra

Comms specialist - Torun Arpat - SkiMaskMohawk

Heavy Weapon Specialist (Lascannon) - [still waiting to be named] - Uveron

Battle Brother - Vilm Amsul Guardian31

Feedback most welcome. Thanks for looking. :smile.:

Replies:

@SkiMaskMohawk: Represent indeed. What do you think of your mini, the comms specialist, above? :smile.:

@Midnight Runner: Cheers buddy! I'd love for you to 'adopt' a mini in my 1250 army. Check out this post, pick a free mini from my 1250 army, comment here which one, and PM me a name. :smile.:

@Brother Heinrich: Awesome name. I love you also gave him a nickname. I've Latinized ´Fury´ archaically into 'Aestus', if you don´t mind. :biggrin.:

Really liking the look of all of them, there's enough bling to indicate 1st squad but it isn't over the top.

Torun himself is really cool, the mk III reminds me of the absurd amount I used on my VIIIth Legion :P

Still looking sharp. The mix of armor marks really make these guys stand out. I will be taking a lot of hints (aka stealing ideas) from you for building marines!

I'd also wouldn't mind naming a marine. I'm not sure if it is reserved but I'd like the honor to name the VI Tactical Vet. Sgt if possible. If not any of the fine battle brothers of th eline would be awesome. PM inbound.

They all look great mate, really nice poses in all of them, and the right amount of extras to give character without going over the top. I love the classic pose on the model I named, but also the awesome mark IV helm which is one of my favourite helms, so proud to have named him!

@HellChyld: done and done, buddy. Kilian Miattas will stand proud as a comms specialist in II Tac squad.

@SkimaskMohawk: Cheers. I hadn't even considered them as elevated for being 1st squad, although both the sergeant as most members do have a tiny bit more bling than usual. :tu:

@guardian31: Cheers buddy. Thanks for your contribution.

@hushrong: Johannu Ermik will stand proud as IV tac squad's sergeant. Thank you!

@The Hydra: Cheers! Feel free to write some fluff about him. A couple sentences about his past or his position/role/reputation in the squad. I'll be sure to include it in the post when they're finished.

@Knight of the Raven: Haha well I'm only including them because I have four grav cannons because of the 2 devastator squads I bought. And because grav is insanely good.

@Apologist: You're welcome to the army, buddy. The spotter is yours, although you might want to consider a space as a tac marine in my 1250 list. They're the first sqauds in this list. PM me.
EDIT: You already PM'd me. Odram Valgraf will stand proud in II tac squad.

ONLY ONE BATTLE BROTHER LEFT

TO BE NAMED IN

II TACTICAL SQUAD.

WHO WILL NAME HIM??

Though I am a lurker more than a contributor, I would like to throw my name in the hat for the remaining brother. In return, I will offer up my counts-as Lukas the Trickster for naming.

Hey buddy! you're welcome to it. PM me a name. Are you ok with the last battle brother in II Tactical Squad? Also: cool idead for your Lukas the trickster conversion. I'd be happy to name him. Include a link to the pics in your PM, and we'll see what we can work out. ;)

The name is Russian, not German, but I'd suggest 'Viktor Tsoi' for a Battle Brother of the IV Tactical Squad.

That's awesome, Res. I've 40K-ify the name slightly into "Vikton Tsoi", but he is written into the roster

Obviously it's entirely up to you how you model and paint him, but the real life Victor Tsoi was in an awesome band called Kino and was killed in a car crash in Riga.

If you wanted to ground the mini in real life a little, that is. I think the idea of a mini in tribute to him is awesome, but then I have a Kino avatar and you've probably never heard of them before so...

EDIT - That makes me sound like a douchey hipster. Apologies.

@Res Ipsa Loquitur: Well I won't comment on that last bit, but I will say this: You're welcome to work with me to name a character in my army. But I want them to be characters in the 40K universe that fit the theme of my army. And I assure you that no Imperial Fist has traveled back in time to 3K Lithuania to recruit hipster band members dying from car crashes. If you want to name a miniature after a RL person, please go right ahead and build your own. I have a kinda sorta policy of twisting every RL name into something that I think sounds 40Kish and fits my army. Go ask anyone who has PMd me about it. That being said, I am more than happy to keep Vikton Tsoi as a battle brother of IV Tactical Squad.

@SnguiniusReborn: you presume to much, buddy. And the skinning pits await.

@SkimaskMohawk: SOON :smile.:

@Viridia: Thanks mate! -Also on the feedback. It really helped me get him to a next level.

@sockwithaticket: Cheers buddy! I like him epsecially too. I studied some armed forces pictures, and noticed the angle of the wrist of soldiers holding their guns at rest. I think that's it?

So how 'bout that techmarine & thunderfire cannon? *nudge nudge*

What about it?  (Check out the army list comment on page 65 too)
