madscuzzy
Well in their defence, some of the designs are things that a lot of us probably have been wanting to see for a long time. I love the knights, though I did picture them differently in my head... more like the old ones, but still... mech-ish. IMHO GW have very good technical artists, though their design team have high hit/miss ratio... Oh... and they won't want to use this design. It is, after all derivative and silly. I've been musing the my chapter aspirant trials involve stalking DA RW captains and stealing their bike parts when they are not looking.......... Ch@oZ
Awesomely done. I like the fact that You've even built them superchargers ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286803-scuzzies-conversion-thread-~-10-may-16-~-cypher/page/2/#findComment-3602996 Share on other sites
Vash113
Wow that is some amazing work, I once modified some of the Deffkopters that came with Black Reach into bikes using spare chimera treads but that work was vastly simpler than this, really fantastic stuff. madscuzzy
I would love to see those, though not here...:/ Thanks. I do find it odd that the original jetbike HAS a supercharger, but it doesn't seem feasible. I do have some ideas for that in the future though. madscuzzy
My original was always supposed to be 1. But since it was heavy so I thought that I would do 1 more. In the process, there were some combinations that were suggested by friends that seemed good so I will do at least 1 more... perhaps a techmarine bike? I am limited by materials more so than anything now. Tracks/wheels aren't that easy to get these days. Doing this bike a second time allowed me to streamline the process and it was much faster. Now is the slow part - the detailing. Still figuring out what to put on the bike in the back. The_Chaplain
I'd say that the MK 2 is a rousing success Madscuzzy, there are details to ogle a plenty- I find something new to gawk at each time. Lykos
Awesome looking bikes. Is that tan stuff a two part epoxy or is that some sort of body filler? jokaero weaponsmith
That is a thing of beauty. This shall be bookmarked for reference for a ride for my techmarine if that's ok. madscuzzy
@ Lykos The tan stuff is Tamiya Epoxy Putty - Quick Type. It's pretty cheap, works like greenstuff and really hardens hard (harder than Brown Stuff and Procreate) so it is very nice to sand. The white stuff is Tamiya Putty Fine (toothpaste type). It can also be sanded, and softened with Tamiya Thin Cement (similar to Liquid Green Stuff but harder). @Jokaeru Thanks! To be frank, I've started work on a techmarine version too. I do want to see how yours will turn out...:P Any ideas? Schultzhoffen
I love it - if regular bikes looked like yours, I'd purchase an all bike army. Disruptor_fe404
Gosh, I love your stuff. Good timing too, just about to begin the process of a biker Captain of my own! Won't be nearly as ambitious as yours though.EDIT: Seriously, I am stealing so many things from this last set of photos of yours... It's kind of shameful, actually. madscuzzy
@Schultzhoffen I believe it can be done. This is my 2nd one... although it can be quite... price prohibitive. I believe having an entire army looking like this will diminish the importance of it. Though it will be interesting to see of course. @Lykos No problem. Glad to help. If you need advise on the materials, feel free to ask! @Disruptor Ambitious? Maybe... although it is a lot easier than it seems. As mentioned this is my 2nd so it too me a lot faster than the first, especially in the conceptualisation stages. If you follow this, it can be quite fast. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286803-scuzzies-conversion-thread-~-10-may-16-~-cypher/page/2/#findComment-3608884 Share on other sites
Disruptor_fe404
Well, second or not, I didn't see the first, so this is suitably mind-blowing and therefore ambitious to me! madscuzzy
Haaa true. Sadly the first one has been expunged from the annals of BnC. I can't find it myself. But there were a number of iterations that that went through. http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/Complete/FR.jpg http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/Complete/colouright.jpg Earlier iterations http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/IMG_0666.jpg http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/IMG_0680.jpg http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/IMG_0746.jpg http://scuzworks.com/SL40K/WIP/LandTrain_WIP/fr.jpg They were quite different, but I always wanted the front prow... Maybe they can inspire your bike designs?
