lol thanks for the comment Draakur :smile.: there are loads of threads here on the B&C, I rarely get the time to browse through them myself so it's always great to find a new one.

Proof I have started The Boss -

Very messy atm tidy up of the Black and Silver chipping next., but at least I have started to heed the Call!

Abaddon looks great already mate, your paint style is really going to suit that model, can't wait to see him done and look forward to drachnyen.

Cheers mate :tu: my painting style messy as :cuss ! With Drach'nyen I will be going with the cannon blue, glowy affect. The eye of Horus painted orange in various areas should keep him tied with the rest of the force and the daemon sword should stand out.

ITS Bruce Springsteen !!!!

Alas, I can never look at him the same again :( :D

Thanks all for the kind comments, glad you like him :D

@ Cretheus; yeah bro sorry I am terrible, just terrible, for making a conversion then consigning it to my carrycase! In fairness, I felt that the Warmaster was best left at least until he had something to lead :D

Anyways, progress so far -

Still a way to go, few more details then onto the mighty, reality slice and dicing Drach'nyen.

Thanks man (funny I was actually just perusing your thread :D ) The glow was to really emphasise his menace and pure evilness. Also, as a nod to ADB's Talon, I tried to paint the iris on his eyes gold, but you can't really see it as the pupil has covered it a bit to much, and tbh I lack the skill properly. Luckily, you can't see it on the photos :D

He's looking awesome buddy. Another fan of the glow from inside his armour.

I'm also guilty of building a model then chucking it into a box never to be seen again. It's an affliction

Thanks bro :tu: I have to admit, RE the kitbashing; it's my favourite part of the hobby I think. I love creating something new. I enjoy painting and playing, but it is the conversions that do it for me :)

I'm exactly the same. I love seeing my models painted but I sometimes find it a bit of a chore to sit down and paint where chopping bits up is incredibly therapeutic.

Reason being our club campaign starts tonight with a Combat Patrol evening, something I am really looking forward to and as I am taking this in my list, thought I best get it done. I haven't got the crew done so I will just be using some normal CSM to man it, I won't be gluing one on the back though as I always think they look off balance :D

Sooooo the Rapier got christened last night as we started our new club campaign with a combat patrol night, involving 4 games a piece, with the winning faction getting bonuses for the start of the campaign proper next week. Here is what I took for my Combat Patrol -

That is, 8 Chaos Bikers (Mark of Khorne ofc :D) 5 Chaos Marines (again, Khorne marked) and the Hades Autocannon Rapier Platform (which I had to use two normal marines as I haven't built my crewmen yet)

List did surprisingly well really, the Khorne Bikers putting the fear of the Blood God amongst my opponents and leaving the Rapier largely ignored, which itself did really well. I am looking forward to painting the next one :)

For the record I lost to a conscript blob Guard army for my first game, narrowly lost to Skitarii then beat Blood Angels and another Guard army, this time Cadians. All good games making for a fast paced night! Overall result was similar to my own personal one, with the 13th Black Crusade drawing with the staunch Imperial defenders, so even stevens.

Many thanks Bio, glad you like them :tu: The Rapier is basically just a weapon swap, ditched the laser destroyer for the Hades of the Forge Fiend and done, four Str 8 AP4 shots per turn in a T7 2 wound platform - what can I say, I like large calibre bullets - think I will take two :D That's right, had a busy week for me this week, I got a lot done for me. Here is my second Rapier Platform, now I need to build some crewmen....also in a GW style leak, manning the crew less guns, powered by the Dark Gods, here is who is next -

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh190/MidnightRunner81/Mobile%20Uploads/image_87.jpeg

Warmaster nearly done, a few touch ups, finish the base and final weathering and he is ready to lead my Black Crusade :) Next update will see him done and the first part of my Call complete.

So they are Daemon Possessed for now .

The shame of it is, they normally get manned by unpainted Berzerkers! This must change......!

Abaddon is looking great Midnight. The guns look pretty fantastic too

Nemac

Thanks Nemac, glad you like. Not much left to do on him now, then I can get onto the Bringers of Despair :smile.:

Cheers for the comments and the likes guys

Thanks guy's, I am glad you like them. I am really pleased how they turned out, especially from tabletop distance (the glowy bits work well with the grittier bits). Now onto the other dudes, Bullous' Butchers. These are obviously more Khornate and we're inspired by the artwork in the Daemonkin Codex which I am enjoying using at the moment, sans bunny ears

Bullous' Butchers (Squad #2) :-
