poom
Thanks guys! Some great little touches on those thralls! Will we get to see your interpretation of Vel Kheredar at some point? Pretty please? Maybe some day..I was thinking about it, but have not jet found the right bits to make his spider-legs.. Maybe the vestigial arms from the Talos kit Cerebralerebus used on this - excellent - model? That's possibly the closest any model has ever come to capturing how I imagine Vel Kheredar (who, if you ask me, steals every scene he's in during Betrayer). Ah yes, a very nice model. But to be honest, I imagined the legs to be much longer. What did you use in that base experiment? That's very fine-sand realistic looking effect and i'm looking for something to give me that martian sand look for a special project for my House Cydonia Mechanicum Knights force. The sand is Chinchilla bathing sand I bought at a pet shop It is the finest sand I could find. Also I used some plaster pieces for the big stones and GW agrellan earth for the cracked earth. ___________________________ Little update on the Thralls: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Tech_Thrall_1_19.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288089-but-blood-blood-is-forever/page/10/#findComment-3860240 Share on other sites

The_Chaplain
God Emperor, those thrall skull heads are so cool looking. That technique would make a good basis for an eversor or culexus assassin head. Well painted Poom, looking forward to your next update! KrautScientist takes an indepth look at Khârn the Betrayer and also shows his newest version of him, very cool and interesting! poom
Thanks! The bright red on the Thallax heads was maybe a bit to much, I am waiting how the bigger automata turn out and maybe change it to a darker red or a glossy black. Speaking of bigger ones, Castellax will be next: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Castellax01_02.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288089-but-blood-blood-is-forever/page/10/#findComment-3893970 Share on other sites

KrautScientist
That is an excellent Magos model, and far cooler than FW's slightly strange "Magos in a floating DJ booth", if you ask me! If I am not mistaken, the Magos model is one of the rewards from the "Skullz" collector's programme of yore, right? On a semi-related note, you wouldn't happen to have the head of that Blood Slaughterer as a leftover and be willing to part with it, would you? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288089-but-blood-blood-is-forever/page/10/#findComment-3896840 Share on other sites
poom
Very creepy. Cool, but creepy. Where is the magos model from? Necromunda? KrautScientist is right, this model was sculped by the Perry brothers around 94 and was only available as a reward for 'Skullz' program. I was looking for ages to get my hands on it and finnaly a view month back I was lucky to get him alone and for a reasonable price. Usually only the complete set of all the Skullz Magos and robots gets sold together. Yeah I am also not to big of a fan of the FW magos'. The fact they don't have legs is weirding me out. Love the animal head on Draykavak though. Sorry but I will keep the Blood Slaughterer head for a while. I saw here on B&C somebody converting a Knight Titan with this head and I might try this some time.. DimDim
I dont know if this has been asked, but how or where are you getting those mkiv helmets with the teeth respirators like on your apothecary? ephrael
I dont know if this has been asked, but how or where are you getting those mkiv helmets with the teeth respirators like on your apothecary? Are they a personal cast? Excellent stuff btw DimDim, the helmets with the teeth respirator are from the FW World Eaters conversion set with the "Bunny Ears" trimmed off and a vent added to the top. I believe that Poom made a few and then molded and cast them up. poom
ephrael is absolutly right. Here is a picture of the conversion I casted a few times: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Sarum0102.jpg This is my interpretaion of the Sarum pattern helmet. I am a little disapointed that FW went for gladiator styled heads for the World Eaters and not the so very iconic Sarum one. If you look at old heresy WE artworks you will see them allot and in modern fluff (AD-B ) they are featured too. Sorry for the lack of updates recently but I was very bussy drinking Mojitos and smoking Habanos: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_9298.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_9355.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_9762.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_0032.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_0064.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/_MG_9684.jpg Anyway back to the miniatures http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/MagosPrime10.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/MagosPrime11.jpg without Abeyant but with GuitaRasmus style cyber familiar: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/MagosPrime12.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/MagosPrime13.jpg And all the magnetised parts: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/MagosPrime09.jpg And for playing with style: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Schablonen.jpg Custom Templates and GW mechanicum dice.
