Is the torso of the contemptor a conversion of the relic contemptor?! That must have been one hell of a conersion job.

Nah that's the WE specific one.

Those last couple of rampagers are awesome, and I love the Apothecary.

The board is looking awesome, man! Rampagers look excellent as well! I've been trolling ebay for one of those IW Forgeworld exclusive models, hoping to get one soon so let me know how he goes, being painted and all. Keep it up dude!

Like Fire Golem said it is just the World Eater Contemptor. I did only some minor conversions like adding the skull trophies, exchanging the boxy head for a normal contemptor one and adding the much bulkier exhoust from the venerable dreadnought.

I was very lucky to have a friend bringing me both from gencon, a shame those nice models are so hard to get.. especially if you live oversea

What grade of resin do you use for your terrain casting?

I use this one:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/111261420803?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It is from a german ebay shop.. what you should be looking for is casting resin thet is liquid for 4-5 minutes after mixing so you have enough time to pur it in your forms and sets solid after a couple of hours.

Do you use a pressure or vaccuum chamber to get the bubbles out? I use smooth on, but I'm switching to a firmer resin for models and using a more generic lighter resin for terrain when I get my system restarted.

No vaccuum chamer, all I do is shake the mold a bit after pouring the resin. I do not get the best results but for my purpose it is ok.

oh, man. those tanks are sexy. How well do the resin helmets hold the detail? Do you have any of them painted I can see?

They come out great, here is a closeup:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/89191953@N05/14137541426/in/dateposted-public/

You can eaven see the fanged mouth grill from the origninal WE helmet.

Beautiful models. What colours and process did you use on the mechanicum tank please, they look awesome.

I undercoat chos black spray and then drybrush 3 grey tones. First eshin grey, then dawnstone and at the end a little bit of fortress grey. The models then will look like these from a while back:

http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Castellax02_07.jpg

I try to drybrush on every black element a gradiant from pure chaos black to a very light grey.

After that I will wash it with a 50/50 mix of Armypainter Dark Tone and water to darken it and to blend the colors togeather. Btw the new GW washes work not so good for this stage I relay recomend the old Nuln Oil or those from Armypainter.

Now I add the decals and afterwords wash it with a black/brownish oilwash. And thats it smile.png

I started painting on the latest batch of World Eaters:

This is the result of a hole day of a painting marathon. All I managed to do was blue and half of the silver..

Things I didn't show previusly is the siege Cybot, the three new Butchers and a Praetor in Cataphractii.

And for the Redjak Cult I build the frist Myrmydon Destructors:

http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Myrmidon%20Destructors%2001.jpg

A very simple conversion based on the GW Kataphrons with original Powerfist and weapon from the destructors. I allso added those tentacle thingies from the Scyllax kit because those are also very characterfull for the original Destructors.

I am planning to do two more and maybe a Kataphron based Magos..

Gorgeous Bloody work here sir, especially digging the past Breachers! As well as the Veteran conversions, keep up the good work ^^

Out of curiosity what's the recipe for your white? It's lovely, such a hard colour to nail down nicely without it looking too flat ><
