Hi Guys and Gals

I'm relatively new to this side of the forum, been a Space Wolf player for a few years but have always wanted to start a sisters of battle army. Recently I acquired a massive Adepta Sororitas army and have decided to paint them up.

The first wave of miniatures i picked out to paint will consist of the following.

St Celestine

2x 5 battle sister squads.

2x Immolators

2x Exorcists.

So far I've finished off the two troop choices, and I'm currently working on my immolators and St.

All comments and critique welcome, let me know what you guys think.

Emm... wow? :woot:

This is a fantastic squad of Sororitas there Urban Crisis - good to see the Sisters making an appearence!

The purple on the sword is beautiful as is the blue robes... The white eyes are very disturbing but they work - not least because there is an ethereal feel in the entire squad! :tu:

Hey Guys, thanks for all the compliments its much appreciated and has really inspired me.

@ Captain Semper you are right on the money.

Just a bit of an explanation on the white eyes, although agreeably creepy looking they are painted that way to fit my back story.

The idea is that all the sisters of my order are blind and through training, indoctrination and sheer faith in the god emperor they have acquired a sixth sense.

This faith based sense guides and protects them more than sight, Book of Eli style.

Thanks again guys, more pics to follow shortly.

great color choices and color balance, indeed. The technical skill on the highlighting and shading is superb, and most easily seen on the power swords.

Really though, what I like best is the color balance. You so often see people who can paint really well but makes their armies a garish collection of colors, and you do your color selection perfectly.

The red (on both the lips of the one sister and the purity seal on the hip of the second superior) look a bit too much though. I think that's more to do with your color levels in your after-photography effects than real life representation, but it might be worth looking into.

So after some good advice I've decided to redo the eyes a bit. Let me know if you guys think this works better.

Thanks vonny for the idea.

Somethings been bugging me on this, I wasn't fond of it so I refrained from comment until I could lay a finger on it.

The colours feel too saturated to me. I think that's what it is. It's incredible execution to stand up to macro-photography like it does, but the cloth looks sureally electric to me with too much contrast.

That I can have this as a critique is to your credit.
