I was honoured along with my brother to be at the front carrying nan in and out the church and finally into the crem.  She was a real Titan of a woman, the last of the true gyspy way of life and everything I personally held dear to heart, my best Freind, my rock, my mum, soul mate and sister.  Right. But I'll be painting these as scythes of the emperor and these will be the "ghosts of sotha" the marines lost during the battle for sotha.  These have a long way to go.....deep cuts, armour gouges and broken parts with flames around their heads (think ghost rider)  Now with the flames I was thinking blue.....thoughts?  Thanks for looking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The_Chaplain Posted October 29, 2014 Share Posted October 29, 2014   Now with the flames I was thinking blue.....thoughts?  The legionnaires are off to a fantastic start!  Blue is still a naturally occurring color of fire; whereas I like to think of the Legion of the Damned glowing with an eerie, almost eldritch kind of light.  Have you given consideration to purple?  It would be quite the eye catching contrast to the yellow of your Scythes.   The recent Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy" had some lovely purple fire and explosion effects, which shouldn't be too hard to find with a google search (was going to post one here, but the site coder didnt like the image extension.  Probably for the best).  I'm sorry to hear of your loss; my condolences go out to you and your family. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
