Let's not get into the world cup thing again.  No.  Really.  Let's not do that.

 

The forum has rules against political discussions, and the World Cup is definitely not a politically neutral topic.

 

That's ridiculous. One can absolutely discuss the cup as a sports competition without antagonizing people with politics. Thing is it's off-topic then and it is now, so probably we really shouldn't get into it.

 

 

Actually, no, one cannot.  EDIT: But I will leave it.  Just this once.

Shouldn't, but will, apparently.  Pretending that one can support the World Cup without supporting supporting the abuse, exploitation, and violent repression with which it has become synonymous is exactly what allows FIFA to continue profiting from such crimes.

 

Meanwhile most of us here in the US are much more detached from such futbol/football/soccer and much prefer to smash together toy soldiers in complete Chaos.

Whilst I don't have any official authority in the Chaos subforums, I'm politely asking that this conversation stops. There are a great many injustices in this world (truly), but discussing them here won't change them, even if it was within the rules of the board.

 

Let's not ruin the topic by having it locked due to violations against the site rules.

As regards the penalty points, Augustus provided the answer: it's completed vows that were nullified as the participants failed to complete subsequent vows that they made.

My god, it's hypnotic. Unfortunately it doesn't take into account the drunk guy stumbling around the dance floor (me) and inevitably knocking over that glass... Or trying to drink it... Most likely both but whatever happens once the glass is gone everyone will realise what a terrible dancer that guy is, he'll lose the dance off and the really hot blonde girl he has a crush on will laugh at him and then leave with another man, who happens to be really good looking and a great dancer and rich. Thus leaving room for the really ugly girl, who turns out to be pretty hot with some makeup on, and they leave together after sharing a passionate kiss. So says every teen romcom ever.

My plan for the next event I participate in, whether I'm able to answer the Call of Chaos or if it turns out to be the next ETL, is to fill out my ranks a bit with some troopers and transports.  It's kind of silly to have a painted lord of war, but to have the rest of my painted army only barely top 1,000 points.

 

As for the party, let me put another quarter in the jukebox, and order us up some more puddles the clown covers:

Ok ok, no more victory dancing. Except for maybe Slaanesh, I don't think the gods appreciate them anyway. Fair enough. 

 

I do feel a little lost though. Over the last three months, this thread has become the go-to place for my online hobby fix. And the Call to Chaos is still two months away. What to do?

So this morning I was thinking "There is something very important I have forgotten....I put work into it, and someone really powerful will be quite pissed if I forget abo-OH :cuss ETL!"

Congrats to all of you, I personally had a great time looking at some of the amazing work that came out (Dayum son, those titans!) and was amazed to see, for the first time in my Warhammer 40k days, Chaos working together with the same purpose!

See you for Call of Chaos and ETL next year!

PS: Tzeentch are still arrogant know-it-alls, Nurgle still smells and Slaanesh...put some pants on ok?

Hey, we could do a little event ourselves to bridge the gap for those still painting-crazy, like "ETL III echo" or sth.

I have three planned, one or two will be next week.  The final one may even eclipse ETL, but we will see(I will need semper help) 

 

Everything is wip atm, sadly.
