these look quite nice. i appreciate a well done SoB army, especially after having a friend commission me to paint his for him. it takes alot of time and patience to make them look good.

The priest took about 90 minutes to paint

I'm a lazy / impatient painter in that I batch paint and use a limited palette of colour, my aim is to have an army that looks great on a battlefield collectively, I do spend more time on major characters but I'm not overly fussed about detail and multiple highlights that are almost invisible from a few feet away

That balanced with use of washes and good planning means I can turn out stuff pretty quick and to a standard people seem to like

Very much enjoying painting these models, for all the uncertainty about the range, these are some of my favourite pieces GW ever produced

I now can field over 1000 points fully painted - thats about 1/4 of whats I have - so there is still plenty to do

I also have completed Jacobus, canoness, 2 more priests and a full SOB squad of 6 with 1/2 their transport ready and a few spare seraphim

Going to have to paint up the retributors next and fight of the urge to d the repentia

I'm fortunate to have had much of my models for a very long time, some of them being older than my kids and the rest I've picked up on ebay in the days when no one wanted them and were cheap enough

Yea, I just have to learn to paint better. I don't use things when painting that would probably make things go quicker. I also have an odd sense of wanting it to look good but then second guess what I think.

I wish I starting buy SoB models a while back. I always thought about buying some up, because who wouldn't want and army of women who are about to bring death to the enemy? And I agree that they are some of the best models I know, I also like Vostroyans but have given up on IG... If I could find something that came close to what I feel they should look like then I would get them too, just most of what I can find is mostly half naked women with over sized guns (not that a half naked model is a problem I would just prefer to not have a whole army of them). I am just sad that now I have to look for them on ebay and hope to get a deal.

Retribution Squad almost done, just need backpacks gluing on and a coat of varnish

Forgot to prime and base a Simulacrum model so painted up a regular sister just to flesh out the squad for now
