I got Stormclaw on release day and decided to just go ahead and make my Krom into what I hope is a much better looking Ragnar Blackmane.

The model for Krom had so many similarities with that of Ragnar that it's just asking to be done :D

I have more than one so its not an issue, also the model can be put back to Krom because it is a very simple head/shoulder/hand swap. No need to wait :D

Nice conversion, I'm thinking of doing something similar with the Krom I've picked up but I'm not yet sure what I want to do with him.

Thanks, like I say I have two of them so converting one wasn't really an issue and I'm fairly happy with how he turned out. I'll post more photos as soon as my snow basing kit arrives.

I would like to ask peoples opinions on my current Wolf Priest conversion. Specifically what do you think of the wolf skull helmet, I have painted it to give you a better idea.

How did you go about building that Wolf Priest helm?

Thanks Wraithwing - I used the helm with the diamond gem on the front above the eyes and two of the wolf skull decorations, one for the top jaw and one for the bottom jaw.

 

first I shaved off the grill and the intake at the top from the helm, then cut the top jaw from the wolf skull as the red lines show:

The blue is where I cut another skull for the bottom part of the jaws. I also shaved this part down enough that the nose holes disappeared.

 

All I did after was to glue them in place and green stuff in the gaps.

As I got two of the Vrosh Tattersoul model I thought it best to change one up a bit and gave him lightning claws and a new backpack. I have yet to name him but I'm sure I'll think of something.

First three Cultists completed and I've used the opportunity to try out some new bases:

I used some corrugated card that I picked up at the local Hobby Craft for just under two pound. It works pretty well and goes very solid after being hit with the primer.

The pack contains three A4 sheets so it should last for the entire army and hopefully I'll have some left over for scenery.

That's an awesome Ragnar model! Well done

I can't understand how can the character be in the new Codex and GW wouldn't release a new mini for him. The existing one is 20 years old and, as good as it is, looks terribly dated.

Anyway, you have done the character justice. I look forward seeing your army grow!
