Thanks Capt.

I have a bottle of Typhus too but I will be sticking with the oil paint as I think I have enough left in the tube to last me 2 lifetimes and it works sooo well!

Looking forward to your WIP smile.png

@WF: as soon as I work out how to add the badge it will be tongue.png Edit: Done it

Do I get further promotions if I manage to finish the Chimera before the deadline??? msn-wink.gif

What Oil paint do you use out of curiosity? I've been debating adding it to my repertoire.

My own Vendetta has received glorious basecoating in preparation for weathering, washing and highlighting. Pics are in my thread here. :)

I'm afraid only one completion per challenge Elmo. If you want further promotions you'll have to wait until the next one ;)

Keep up the great work everyone, this is demonstrating the might and devotion of the Imperial Guard! :D

Lil bit of progress today as work got in the way last night.

Believe I am going to make a big tarp roll for the styrene track cover... otherwise I am going minimal stowage on this one. Will be drilling a hole for the antennae on the turret but thats how she will roll.

I'm not sure what you mean? There is no interior to the Chimera kit, aside from the inside of the rear hatch which will always be glued shut and the cupola hatch assuming you have the tank commander visible?

Personally I don't as I glue the ramp closed. It would be possible, if the urge took you, to make your own detailing for the interior along the lines of the rhino with bench seats etc.

If you do plan on painting the interior then check out images of how real tank interiors are painted for ideas.

I often order myself one of the IG Tank Accessories sprue now and then. The bitz are always useful, and I like that you get a full crewman out of it. All the fuel cans, barrels and ammo boxes...great for stowage on vehicles, making objective markers or using on dioramas.

Here's a progress pic on my Valkyrie:

It's to go with my Scion Squad who will look something like dis:

I don't airbrush, so it takes me longer to paint. The coats are thin right now, but they will be filled in nicely. I'm also searching local hobby shops for appropriate nose art... otherwise I'll just make up one myself.

I should have her done in time

Beautiful work, Sox!

What's her name going to be?

Over here in Japan hobby shops sell a lot of decal sheets for doing up mech models with extra detail. Some sheets include stuff which could make for nice nose art. I'm not sure if you can find anything like that in your area, but it's a suggestion.
