Kierdale
I think you can 40k him a bit more at the painting stage with some tattoos (Aquila, Adeptus Astra Telepathica symbol, etc). Nicodemus Doloroso
Yeah, I was thinking of putting an =][= tattoo on his forehead. I'm going to see if I can saw the backpack thing off the penitent psyker and how it looks strapped to this guy, with a couple wires attached to his head. For people volunteering -- you have to give me some ideas on how you'd like to be represented/what conversions I should make to customize. Reyner
I would be a Tempestor with a brown/ginger chin beard and your choice of weapons and I will try return the favour when I build my Scions lol :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3808628 Share on other sites
Kierdale
If you can do me as a priest, please give him a shotgun. And bloodshot eyes. Foaming at the mouth if possible. Nicodemus Doloroso
I don't think my painting skills are equal to bloodshot eyes but I do have a spare Warhammer Empire priest from about 16 years ago who I can give a chainsword and a shotgun. I didn't think rules wise they can have shotguns though? WarriorFish
It's less about the rules and more about the look methinks :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3809868 Share on other sites
Nicodemus Doloroso
I'm a WYSIWYG nazi though. Well with my own army at least. I am more easygoing with opponents. scatmandoo
SShotgun could easily represent a autogun? Aa12? Haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3809999 Share on other sites
Kierdale
A fantasy priest with a chainsword and an autogun would be fine. A Bloodletter or thin Carroburg wash over the eyes works ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3810088 Share on other sites
Nicodemus Doloroso
Ok, here's Bionicman the Crusader built -- will start painting him this weekend. Elmo and Cadet Commissar WarriorFish should be built tonight. Nicodemus Doloroso
Oh, guess I can add the completed lionofjudah acolyte here too. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3873567 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
That's some inspired kit bashing there Nico, fantastic example of what a good eye and a few changes can do. I'm looking forward to seeing him painted, this is giving me a few ideas for acolytes - if only I had the time to do everything I've schemed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295345-seeking-volunteers/page/3/#findComment-3873626 Share on other sites

Bionicman
Ok, here's Bionicman the Crusader built -- will start painting him this weekend. Elmo and Cadet Commissar WarriorFish should be built tonight. Love it! :) Looks like a battle harded fellow - that face reminds me of that Sgt. Barnes in "Platoon". Kilofix
Kilofix has the honour of being the next modeled: What do you guys think? Does he need something more? It's barely a conversion at this point with just a scroll from the Space Marine command box added, yet I don't know what else I could add. He does look the part of a penitent psyker I think. I'm considering trying to hack the backpack thing off the pewter penitent psyker model (which I don't really like) but am wondering if that might make the model too busy and he looks nicely understated as-is? I welcome your C&C especially from Kilofix. I like it understated as it is. Maybe some 'glowy' effects during painting. Or bleeding, either way. Nicodemus Doloroso
I am going to do the eyes glowing. I think since you like him as-is I'll keep him that way ... I am concerned that if I try adding more stuff it could get too busy.
