Considering how cheap pts wise the renegade infantry units are from R&H, my goal is eventually getting well over 200, perhaps 300. I could easily use 200 in a standard 2k R&H list, having a hundred extra or so couldn't hurt for huge games. That's a tone of models though, so that's going to take some time. Worth it though to represent the millions of human Word Bearer followers.

All right it's rant time: Why does every time some one brings up abaddon everyone starts calling him fillbaddon.

 

He made a legion form nothing: All right let's start with the black legion itself. When abaddon got black to his legion, he found it not only broken and in a sorry state but also the emperor's children had destroyed their fortress and to add insult to injury they took the body of horus to do tzeentch know what to it. So after finding all this out he lead his legion against the emperor's children were he smash them. After this abaddon begin to rebuild the sons of horus into the black legion were he reorganize the legion, the reason why I bring this up is because lorgar already had an organize legion who would fallow his command to the word, were has abaddon did not but yet still made them the biggest legion.

He gets called Failbaddon because he keeps failing his Black Crusades. Well, that was until they were retconned so that he was actually setting out to accomplish smaller goals that would allow him to invade Terra eventually, and that he succeeded in these tasks.
Tbf to Abbadon it was only ever said to be a failure from the imperial point of view

That's because 40k is primarily an Imperial based game. Abbadon had to get retconned because GW needed a supreme antagonist to mirror their Chapter nerfings and Fantasy's changing. Afterall, we marginally leaned a stailmate in our favor while he got his :cuss pushed in, lost his precious rubix cube to the enemy, and killed off just as much of his own men in orbital bombardments than we lost ground.

Agreed but right now I'm on a chaos army from DR binge I love the cultists chosen and hellbrute but I'm going to have alot of spare lord models lol

I will be, high time I finished my chosen, and I recently picked up the chaos half of dv, which combined with my bits box will get me to about 40 cultists. And if I can work out what to do with the helbrute that as well. If I get all that done and I have the pennies to spare I plan to create some Ashen circle inspired iconoclastic khorne raptors, but that needs some AoS parts for kitbashing so may not happen.

 

Yeah, I realise it's not a huge points tally, but it's what I have to work with, and funds are tight.

Been painting one day and already Im close to a nervous breakdown with all this trim :laugh.:

See, this is why I chose to make the infantry I covered all daemons or elite infantry.

That is a good idea but unfortunatly Im re painting my entire Chaos army. Suppose the sooner I do it the sooner its over with. Cant say Im excited to do my Raptors and Warptalons.

After a long hiatus from 40k, I've been thinking pretty heavily about starting a Word Bearers army, something about religious zealots sounds enticing, and burned out over playing monogod armies (started out playing World Eaters in 3.5, then Death Guard). Anyway, Hail fellow sons of Lorgar!

I can understand getting burnt out on playing mono god i used to play mono nurgle but i found every game was the same it was could you kill me before i weakened you to the point you couldn't. I was even beating Necrons lol.

 

Anyway i think i have a new favourite HQ choice in the form of a dark apostle with the black mace
