Andromonoid
Heya everyone! I felt I needed to create a thread where I can post my stuff, showing what I have created and talk about what I want to create, share my plans for the future and get feedback on it all from you guys. I started kitbashing and converting more the last half year, and it is largely contributed to many wonderful threads here in this WIP section, made me realize that if I wanted to create something of my "own" , I had to become bolder in my approach and hack n saw which always seemed a bit scary before because of fear of loss of valuable parts that couldn't be replaced if I didn't buy a new set - now thanks to bit-sites that is all in the past. The main armies I have collected through the years but never finished because of TIME is my beloved Blood Angels and World Eaters (I like red), planned them for a while but decided to take a break from them and relearn to paint - plus all my paints have dried sadly. So I will be making two other armies that can function as allies to my big main armies - the chaotic Sons of Malice and the stubborn sons of Dorn called the Celestial Lions. Another ally I want to create is an Inquisitorial detachment, which I done a lot of so far. I also was lucky enough to snatch a copy of the reprinted Space Hulk, so I might make a small Genestealer army for fun in the future. So to start out, here is an Inquisitorial Sanctioned Xenos belonging to one of my Ordo Xenos Inquisitors bands. I don't know yet what race she will be, but she looks Dark Eldar, so she might just become that. I will add a seal somewhere on her with a big inquisitorial I on it, showing her allegiance so no overzealous humans will shoot her up while in Imperial territory. I do not yet have a name of background story for her, I will develop it eventually. She is converted from a Dark Eldar Scourge body, Dark Eldar Wyches Hydra Gauntlets for arms, Wood Elf Wild Riders helmet, Eldar Huardian helmet (cut in two) and the hair from a Dark Elf Witch Elf. *Click for larger image*http://i.imgur.com/SwirXLZ.jpg Anyway, I am happy that you guys taken a look at my WIP thread, and stay tuned to see more stuff from me! The Yak
Great start, such a dynamic pose. What else have you planned for your Ordo Xenos Warband, will they be Radicals? (I love Radicals) Im excited to see what you do with the Celestial Lions!!!! Good Luck Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-3809798 Share on other sites

Andromonoid
Good looking model to start a thread with brother. What's next on the chopping block? Great start, such a dynamic pose. What else have you planned for your Ordo Xenos Warband, will they be Radicals? (I love Radicals) Im excited to see what you do with the Celestial Lions!!!! Good Luck Thank you, Yak! Oh I got loads of plans for them. So far I have an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor based on the Dark Eldar Lhameian miniature, she is already wielded with a poisonous blade which will act as the Scythian Venom Tallon, and I will give her a Needle Pistol as well, just havent had time making that weapon yet. She will be a bit Radical in the way she collaborates with aliens and uses alien technology. I want to give her more henchmen who are aliens, one might be a Kroot. Also for my Ordo Xenos I am making 10 Deathwatch Marines with 2 different captains I can field them with, one captain will be substitute for Pedro Kantor and one will be in Terminator Armour. It has been so much fun converting them all and trying to give each and every single one of them a personality based on their Chapter, did a lot of research infor these guys to try and get their Chapter-heraldry and tokens as correct as I can. I want my 40k things to be as fluffy as I possibly can make them. The Deathwatch will function as allied Sternguards. The Celestial Lions will be fun, just yesterday I ordered 5 old metal Space Marine Veterans that I will turn into my Sternguards. I like the new Sternguards, but the older ones got much more personality in them. Good looking model to start a thread with brother. What's next on the chopping block? Thanks, Chaplain! I am not sure, I got some other stuff I need to take care of - life lol - but I want to finish some more of my Deathwatch Marines. Gonna make a heavy bolter one from the Iron Hands chapter. So I took some more photos of some dudes I built a while ago - My Ordo Malleus Inquisitors in TDA. They practically dwarf their henchmen, several heads taller then them. Inquisitor nr 1 is armed with TDA, Storm Bolter, a Force Sword and Psyker Mastery Level 1 and the Grimoire of True Names. Inquisitor nr 2 is armed with TDA, a Nemesis Daemon Hammer, Psycannon (count as, since I wanted a cool looking Incinerator spewing holy Promethium) and the Grimoire of True Names. *Click for larger image* http://i.imgur.com/SK5lonp.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-3810703 Share on other sites

Part 1 - Left to right, Mystic, Ministorum Priest, Psyker, Daemonhost Part 2 - Crusaders, Puritan Monodominant Ministorium Priest with henchmen. I want to have some pointed hood for the henchmen, just don't know what to use yet. Suggestions welcomed! Part 3 - Veteran Guardsmen with Bolters, Melta & Flamer + Melta Bombs. Commissar/Inquisitor in the middle. Part 4 - Henchmen with Storm Bolters & Melta. *Click for larger image* http://i.imgur.com/t38zlhi.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Xsj26Ef.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pDQbirF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jsEYCut.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-3813259 Share on other sites
Jeff Newton
I've been looking at wood elves wildwood ranger heads for my inquisitor warband but the price always goes so high on eBay for them. Andromonoid
What's the source of the part(s) for the head you put on the banshee body for your Daemonhost??? These all look quite amazing! Thank you! Oh it is a skull I found on the Blood Throne of Khorne here: http://www.bitsandkits.co.uk/blood-throne-of-khorne-skulls-x2-p-9685.html A lil evil Slaaneshy Lord blessed with various gifts fom his patron God. Inspired by this painting http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130323204701/warhammer40k/images/c/c8/Adrian_smith_slaanesh_marine.jpg by Adrian Smith, I wanted to create a Lord for each God, starting with Slaanesh. I gave him an extra arm with a chainsword to represent a Close Combat Familiar, cut off the lower part of a Raptor's torso and replaced it with the lower torso of a Hellstrider of SLaanesh riders torso, to give him that wasp-waist and the legs are from the Chaos Forsaken which imo are amazing for Lords and characters. A normal power-fist was too small for him, he is quite tall, so I had to go for a Chaos Terminator power-fist. I will eventually get some greenstuff and fix him up with more details, fill gaps etc. Tell me what you guys think of him. *Click for larger image* http://i.imgur.com/6aFlQQC.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-3817922 Share on other sites
Battybattybats
Thanks heaps! I think that part may well be perfect for making a Dark Mechanicus mini, an evil version of my House Cydonia skull with halo look. Perhaps a Sister of Cydonia that went down the dark path...Meanwhile, your pieces are really lovely, i'm looking forward to more and to seeing these ones painted! Meanwhile, your pieces are really lovely, i'm looking forward to more and to seeing these ones painted! Yeah those skulls got sooo many potential uses. I got ideas to maybe turn one of the skulls into the mask of a Culexus assassin made from Dark Eldar bodyparts, this image inspired me, seems like I don't have to make the Animus Speculum (the head-weapon) that big. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110921013935/warhammer40k/images/f/f2/Eversor_-_Horus_Heresy_Era.jpg I don't know when I'll have any of my stuff painted, many of my paints dried years ago so I plan to build my army (Celestial Lions & allied Inquisitors) and then paint it all in one go. Battybattybats
Good call! That Culexus idea could totally work!I've made my own counts-as Mechanicus Eversor and am starting on painting a Mechanicus Calidas. I think i'll have to ponder what a Mechanicus Culexus equivalent might look like! Andromonoid
A small lil update. I wanted to have some allied count as Deathwatch for my main Imperial forces, I really like the fluff and the look of the guys, so I built myself half of my 10 man unit which can be accompanied by an Ultramarine TDA Captain (missing appropriate shoulder pad) or my Doom Eagle Captain that is a count-as Pedro Kantor, whose base is created from the web exclusive captain. I think he turned out pretty rad. I converted them all to have looks that I think reflects their respective chapter. I hope ya digg, guys! http://i.imgur.com/ghgKo3q.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-3849330 Share on other sites

Forté
That's a good time to have a look around at paint ranges too. There are a lot out there with slightly different pros and cons so go for what you like the sound of. Andromonoid
It's been a while, almost 2 years since last update! Been busy and not a lot of hammering. I think I have finally collected together enough models to build my army of Blood Angels and some allied Celestial Lions and Inquisitors - so expect these to eventually pop up in here! I cranked out some more Chaos Lords of the remaining marks and thought I'd post them here. I had a ton of fun converting them together. I still have details and bits I wanna add, like trophies, knifes etc to them. But their overall "base body" is done now. http://i.imgur.com/RoYEkVm.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-4444738 Share on other sites
DaBoiKyknos
Oh another round of (Inquisitorial) Warband kitbash (and true-scales if I saw that right)! Let`s see if those become my new board favourite. Looks cool enough so far! Andromonoid
LordVelype - Thanks a lot! Inquisitors are the most fun to convert, since you can create basically ANYTHING. :P I always liked the lore of Cypher and the Fallen Angels, and when new rules were released for him where he could take a retinue of them into battle, I knew I had to convert Cypher and some Fallen - and then give them appropriate fallen angels names. Champion with power sword and combiplasma and 4 chosen with plasmaguns. http://i.imgur.com/wu1Z8rs.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-4449523 Share on other sites

Lord Commander Eidolon
Great work on the fallen! You've managed to combine the 40k/30k stuff very effectively! Cypher is simple but effective - annoyed I didn't think of it! Andromonoid
Thanks a lot for the replies guys! I really should look at my thread more often.. I got interested in getting some cultists in the future. So I looked around and found the Forgeworld Renegade Militia ones and thought they would be perfect if I mixed them with Empire Flagellant legs (cut away top torso) and guns and arms from the Genestealer Cult Neophytes. I did a PHOTOBASH using images of bits in order to see how it would look like, and I think I need to build these in the future since they turned out cooler then expected. http://i.imgur.com/dHQ0lu7.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296756-manufactorum-andromonoid-deathwatch-captains-bikes-added/#findComment-4595329 Share on other sites
DaBoiKyknos
I like this post a lot, but I´m a little confused actually, that the dark elf/ eldar in the very first picture got a pass and lamby´s announcement of using a kroot for a inquisitor warband, was immediatly followed by the remark that it would be forbidden. (Not that I wish anything to be banned, of course...) Great conversions by the way! I must say, the henchmen with the stormbolter and the scion head looks somehow kind of... cute! Maybe it is because it was specificly a Kroot representing a Kroot, while mine is based on a Dark Eldar with bits from various species through the GW range and could represent a humanoid mercenary aswell as a very humanlike alien allied to the imperium (now I will have her as a Nekulli which in lore can be found as imperial bodyguards). I don't know why, I guess only the mod knows why.
