+++ETL VI - WEEK 10 UPDATE+++

Week 10 was not as productive as Week 9 but still delivered 14k pts worth of completions. Total completed points rose to 127k while total points pledged surpassed the 400k mark reaching 408k. That in turn implies an overall completion rate of 31%.

On a Faction level, we had two surprises: 1) the Adeptus Astartes moderate performance with a completion rate below 30% and total score of 12.6k and 2) the stellar performance of the AoD Faction that is now leading the ETL with a completion rate of 43.8% and a score of 13.3k! Chaos is still very strong with a score of almost 8k pts but with a lot of firepower still and the IFOR with a completion rate of just 23.2% (the lowest among the 5 Factions) and a score of 4.2k. Last is the Xenos but with a completion rate of 32.8% vs. and a score of 3.4k.

I will now further analyse Week 10 results:

BLOOD ANGELS:

The BAs continue to lead the Astartes Faction in terms of score, at 5.2k and have a significant distance from the second (the DAs) of 2.2k pts. Truth is that despite having the lowest average vow (which is not that low anyway) they have more than made up for it with the highest re-vowing rate of 50% and also have the highest completion rate of the Faction! Congratulations for the fighting spirit and methodical work – you’ve been productive and focused, even during the difficult month of June and early July. Keep it up and you stand a good chance of becoming Primus Inter Pares of the Astartes Faction and why not getting the top position all forums in the ETL (you’re currently in third place behind Chaos Marines and AoD-T)!

Three weeks to go and we find ourselves sitting comfortably in the lead of the Adeptus Astartes mega-Faction, and in third place overall. Whilst it should be noted that CSM and AoD-T have pulled ahead in score, this is based on their completions so far. If you look at the points pledged, we have committed to more than AoD-T (so a higher completion rate will see us clear of them), we are behind CSM so we need to beat their rate. If this was a long distance race, CSM have the reputation for the sprint finish so we need to go into overdrive now and try to hang on.

What is important too is to encourage the SM, DA, and SW as without them we will miss out on one of the three titles. Whilst we have our own goals, we are still battle brothers in blocking the inroads of the heretic, mutant, traitor, and xenos. Go now, extend some encouragement and support to our fellow brethen and cajole them into finishing strongly too.

We got a power armoured Preator today to go with the Tartaros one from the stream a little while ago:

Nooooo! Why sculpt all that gorgeous detail then have a hands across the chest pose?

Edit: FW BA are going to be intimidating to paint with all that filligree.

TBH, im just looking for a good reason to buy these models for 40k :tongue.: The terminator could be a terminator sergeant, and the power armored praetor? Another captain?

Captain, or an Ancient.  Got a great pose for having a banner that he could be holding while looking off into the distance.

I know right! I really really hope BA specific Primaris will get detail on a similar level eventually!

I hope for exactly the opposite! Special unit,perhaps, but I feel the BA tactical squad is *too* drenched in detail. I already hate painting the trim on chaos marines, I don't want to have to do it with the BA also! Give me plain power armour any day.

I agree with xenith, I would rather they keep most troops reasonably simple, just throw in the occasional blood drop or chalice device here and there. I'd rather they made more exciting transfers to add ostentatious details however often and where we want them.

If the normal guys didnt have so many decorations, they'd simply be red marines. And when a tactical sergeant looks like a captain, what should a captain (or a praetor) look like? :tongue.:

Like a special character obviously ... and special characters well ... who needs those if you have fancy captains. :teehee:

I think the same guy will sculpt our gene father. Just imagine that detail :P
