Would have said Stormraven but don't think that's the base that comes with it, so something big from Forgeworld?

Now that would be fun! Imagin a little diorama with a battered scout crawling out from underneath a busted heretic dreadnought :D

The guy that bought his Blood Angels sold the majority of the army on eBay last week.

 

I tried to get the Deredo, lost it by $2.50.

 

Hopefully whomever won his stuff knows how important those models are. For me, I was hoping to have the piece for multiple reasons, mainly anytime i see a frater's piece on the secondary market i try to pick up a piece because I know you guys and I spend all my time in these hallowed halls.

I can't believe someone brought Luther's models to then sell them. Such a shame the force has been split up.

Just got slaughtered by some Space wolves boys. I didn't even get a second turn. Having to wait until turn 2 for deepstrike really got me. I think I need to either hide everything at the begining now or just forget deep striking entirely.

It was still a fun game. My opponent was very nice, and we will be getting more games in. My main buddy complains about how op BA are to me constantly (all his complaints are ridiculous imo), so it was nice finally playing with someone new regardless of the outcome.

 

I'll post a small battle report later possibly, but my list was really silly. I just brought some painted stuff I wanted to use (Terminators, flame storm Baal pred, 2 furioso dreads) and he had two storm wolf flyer things, a wulfen squad in each, Las cannon long fangs, and a bunch of just regular wolves. Also, a real nasty wolf lord with 7 wounds, monster hunter saga, and a relic storm bolter that seemed a bit too good. With the saga, the lord had +1 to hit and +1 to wound vs monsters/vehicles (which very quickly became a 6in aura).

 

The flyers just flew behind everything right away and took out half what I had on the field. Unlucky explosions and his wolves/wolf lord did the rest. The wulfen didnt even have to leave the flyers.

 

We played Field of Glory I think with two twists: +1 attack for everyone and +2 to move/ +1 to charges. Those twists proved very useful for him.

It's so awesome when you find a good opponent like that. I've been battling it out with a new friend each week for the last month. Our games are so much smoother than with half the rabble I play against. I totally get it.

I was at least able to grab one of the death company squads. So no matter what I have a piece of that army. They will also get much use alongside my army.

My previous game was soundly lost to an AM Tank Commander with plasma spam + Shadowsword   I don't think I have an answer to that kind of list yet

Actually in a storm raven. Being able to drop them down turn 2 and keeping them in bubble range is absolutely brutal. Getting extra to hit rolls on 6s combine with re-roll misses is a devastating 1-2 punch!

 

I am really thinking a out making Corbulo a staple model for awhile.

Actually in a storm raven. Being able to drop them down turn 2 and keeping them in bubble range is absolutely brutal. Getting extra to hit rolls on 6s combine with re-roll misses is a devastating 1-2 punch!

I played a similar setup a few games back, but used a standard sanguinary priest instead of corbulo. You can really get the most out of any close combat unit when combined with chaplain and corbulo.

 

In the last game I used chaplain, librarian, corbulo and sanguinor to support 2 units of DC. Throwing 50 dice with rerolls from 10 man unit, 6s giving extra attacks is just ridiculous. Too bad that a 3 units of 30 plaguebearers were able to stand ground for ages against my DC on steroids.

Yeah, I can see that. My thought process has been how to move multiple units quickly. The Storm Raven is so overpriced now. But running it bare bones as a transport is essentially a flying land raider.

 

I think I'm going to try 2 squads in rhinos backed by a full 15 man squad with jump packs to get Forlorn Fury off next.

 

Followed by some dakka vets with a power sword. Corbulo being able to stack attacks is really the only reason to take him. If primaris weren't trash I'd bring them. But 95 points for 5 guys that need a 450pt transport is gross.

After this fellas I've been thinking about rhino with D.C.+support and an assault cannon razorback with full flamer squad (tactical or devs) with an LT as backup.

 

I'll add some jump infantry and see where that gets me.

After that I'll look at my collection of unpainted models and decide which are next in line to become BA.

Some of the models were previously complete, just needing new weapons painted (eg. old bolt pistols cut off and replaced with bolters, power axes swapped to swords or chainswords etc.). Others in the group were half painted and a few just primed.

 

I figured I'd just casually work on them all together as a big batch doing a few minutes here and there without an event deadline - particularly as I was away/busy for much of September and October.

I`ve recently picked up Tooth and Claw so I`ll be building all of the primaris stuff up towards my Blood Angels  I totally don`t have a Space Wolf army slowly being formed along with a genestealer army...honest
