Thanks guys.

So with some minor changes to the army list, I have made space for some minor upgrades to the command squad! So now I have 15 pts to spare, I added 3 sniper rifles and the last veteran is now represented by an arbites dog from Forge World.

The whole squad is assembled and I'll be painting them either tomorrow or on monday.

Thanks guys.

IMPERIAL KNIGHTS (370)

KNIGHT ERRANT @ 370

I don't know really :D

One has the knight, and the other has the assassins :)

But... The list with the Knight Errant is for games where my opponent has a stronger list. The other one is against "weaker" lists. We have a very developed army composition system here, used at country tournaments. Its a good guide line to have even battles. Or rather even power level of the army list. Tactics from each player can't be measured.

Alright.

I have been slacking on the painting department. Made a "promise" to complete the last models I have at home by the end of this week, and I am not going to back down from that.

Started this evening with the final 16 members. 10 veterans, 6 man command squad.

Made it pretty far, all the basic paints are on and shades/washes are applied. All thats left now is the high lights, details and bases. I should be done by tomorrow evening.

Of course, I still have the alternative command squad to make, the one with commander Straken. But thats a later project and something I want to have some spare bits for.

Also I want to try out the army as it is right now. Well.., missing the 6 sentinels of course. But I am hoping they will join my forces this coming month.

Tomorrow pictures will come of the final 16 infantry men.

Well then. Now they are all done. At least the main infantry models. Still got the models for the alternative lists I might use later on.

Al that is left now is the sentinels.

Anyhow first up is the command squad. I decided to include one wardog. I only had points for three snipers anyway. So the last veteran mutated into a dog :) Close combat weapon and laspistol setting.

The 6th guy is an officer of the fleet.

Took two pictures, with different backgrounds.

Second up is the second veterans squad with grenade launchers. I wasn't to inspired to make these I must admit. Running low on good bits and ideas. So helmets were added, not a problem for me really. I can now see a clear difference between the veteran squads.

Nice work.

The sniper rifle muzzle breaks are converted, right?

And I like that the officer isn't holding a weapon.

The vets look good too.

Thanks.

The muzzles are from the Cadian command box. I added them to the Scions hot shot lasgun.

I didn't see much point of adding a las pistol or a drawn sword on the officer. He is there to issue orders and be posh. But... his huge bird on his shoulder is a "count as boltgun". Similar to Inquisitor Coteaz cyber eagle but not as good of course.

One thing I really love about these is the detailed fcamo, right down to the casings on the Lasguns. Excellent work, the sort of army I'd love to have a game against!

Thanks.

Not many catch the casing camo. Good eye.

Come on over and we will talk, shoot each other and then have a drink or two.

Love how individual they are. Goes without saying how good they look.

The last vet squad should do a good job of stripping low armour HPs.

Really like the idea of the commander bringing a dog with him!

Thanks.

Tried to make the personal, but towards the end ran low on inspiration.

The vets with GLs are my cheap take on all. :) love the decent Strength and AP. Can also go for blast against weak horde units.

And yes, all commanders should bring a pet :)

Vash, I have to tell you, I was gaming in my local store today and the subject of helicopters and AM came up.  When I showed them pictures of your conversion for the Valkyrie everyone agreed that what you had done was what the model should have been to begin with and that the work was fantastic.  Very impressive work.

You occupy the niche of people whose overwhelming talent crushes and demoralizes me at the same time as it drives me to do better in my own painting.

Ha ha thanks :)

The Valkyrie always struck me as a transport helicopter, so I think we agree.

My talents are not that hard to obtain. It all runs down to sprays and shades.

Great stuff, I'm really liking seeing how the Scion bits work so well with the normal Cadian pieces. Just different arms or the helmets makes them very distinct but still clearly the same army. Keep up the excellent work Vash :D

Been waiting for some sentinels, and it seems I'll be waiting until after x-mas for that to happen. So until then I'll be working on the Alternative Command squad. It will mainly be used in Zone Mortalis. Commander "Iron Hand" Straken counts as.

He is represented by the model in the middle with the power fist.

In his unit there is also a medic (with the chain sword and medic bag), a heavy flamer veteran, plasmagun and meltagun veteran.

The guys with the coats are ministorum priest count as models. Trying to keep up the theme...

Gave the helmets with the spike on top to further disguising them from the others.

To be honest. I don't know yet if I will paint the priests differently.

I am considering painting the whole helmet as a skull with red eyes.

Perhaps even the armour in skull white to further raise the skeleton theme.

Anyhow. Only time will tell.

Thanks for the support guys.
