hive fleet leviathan and why you should be excited

I'll admit, I'm eager to learn more, although prepared to be disappointed...

We all know it'll be Martyred Lady, but any takers for a bet on a different Order?

Sacred Rose seems most likely because of their existing links to Leviathan.

Interestingly enough, in the White Dwarf about the plastic Grey Knights, Mat Ward specified the sisters' blood to be virgin blood. At least in my language.

I'm looking forward to Praxedes' return on the tyranids' side as the queen of blades. tongue.png

Until we find out that the Blood Angels need to kill SoB in order to use their blood to fashion some sort of toxin against the 'Nids.

Hm. The purity of the SoB would make them the perfect ammunition with which to purge the filthy Xenos. Excellent theory!

In all seriousness, however, if my friend's assessment of the situation is accurate, then even a simple background mention is a big deal considering how little coverage the Adepta Sororitas get, especially for a campaign covering a battle of this magnitude that they were (previously) not known to be affiliated with in any way (as far as I was aware).

Is any coverage good coverage though?

"And lo and behold, the tyranids avoided all and any world defended by the Order of the Steel Ovaries after several crushing defeats at the hands of their dreaded Black Thirst, when the vile space bugs captured the last coffee factory of planet Arabica and were utterly annihilated in response. Thanks to the Order's love for the God-Emperorsent beverage, the shieldworlds of Baal were saved."

I can dig it.

10/10 would read.

If we adhere to the conventions established by the previous two Tyranid codices with regards to writing fluff, then the battle will go something like this: with the strength of legions, the Tyranid swarm descended on the ill-prepared home world, eating lots of things and generally being quite annoying. Their incomprehensible numbers were incomprehensible. As the swarm hungered towards it's inevitable victory, deus ex machina happened and they lost the battle immediately.

Some mention or reference has to be better than nothing, so long as it has no connection to the Grey Knights, particularly in this context.

I would love the Hive Mind's latest weapon to be the dreaded Plot Armor Reaper. The Blood Angels stand no chance.

Would rather have it deployed on Fenris, but I'll take what I can get.

And then the sisters save the day. On their own. Without needing any of those pansies from the Astra Militarum and Adeptus Astartes.

The Hive Mind has become well-versed in the ways of the universe and deploys it's latest, sinister creation known as Cthulhu The Plotlord. With Plot-reaper (a sword built from applied phlebotinum) in hand, it carves a bloody path of bloody destruction through the Blood Angels and their home-world of Blood Baal. The plot armour and weapons of the Space Marines are as nothing before this terrifying foe. Slowly but surely the swarm under command of the The Plotlord adapts to embrace it's unique, extra-dimensional permutations. The Hive Mind, however, realises the error of it's ways when the Adepta Sororitas join the fray and, lacking any form of plot armour or weapon whatsoever, they are completely invincible to The Plotlord and it's newly adapted swarm.

I'd make a great writer.

...

I think I need a break from this topic.

You'd love the plotline I'm imagining for my Knights of Blood where they find themselves caught between the Astartes-style secular transhumanism they inherited from the Blood Angels and the Sororitas living saint who appears to be able to cure the Black Rage... biggrin.png

So the question is will the Sisters place in the fluff be dying in the opening scenes to show that this is a serious situation that needs the Space Marines or will they die in a heroic last stand halfway through for that "We hold the line" feel that GW likes to give humanity midway through every conflict?

Maa, who knows..? I need the book though... mou, we probably barely have a footnote, that rumour's only there to make Sisters players buy it.

Suddenly, a wild SoB plastic set appears. It's super effective.

I know, I know.... :(

Sisters in a fluff book about Blood Angels and Nids?

Yeah ... I see the usual role of mass martyrdom being the theme followed by a single marine killing the hive fleet with a shoe.

It's the smell, you see ;)

You used super glue.... SoB Plastic set tried to escape. SoB Plastic Set runs away :(

And let leave Fenris out of this shall we?
