with the serious restrictions the RG place on tanks and heavy support, I needed to look for other options to strip hull points. The Contemptors coming in talons of 3 means alot of bang for my buck I would otherwise be lacking.

 

Sides, the range of the graviton gun trumps the other two, and its ability to lay down difficult terrain for a turn can hurt daemons charging or tanks moving again!

I thought on this for a while the idea of assault marines with melta bombs came to mind but thats really pricy 

I really wish you would cave and buy a squad of the FW dark furies I think  you would make them look really cool.

I wont lie, the models are growing on me, but the price tag keeps me away. 

 

Maybe in the future when my hobby funds are replenished, but right now I have too many models I need to paint before I purchase models I dont absolutely need.

Considering the amount of points of space wolves the Jarl owns , I reckon he like a few of us are just waiting for our rules and we will have fairly sizable forces for our wolves right off the bat.

When the Rout drop, the gloves are off. Right now I'm building the RG to a point where Im comfortable with. Im there sitting around 6-7k with them.

 

In 40k, I have around 17k of Wolves.

My Wolves are in a slump of disinterest right now. I cant get motivated, so am slowly stocking up for the ETL.

 

that and the Fang is currently overrun by a bunch of wish listing whelps...Russ save me from such drivel. I poke around in there and try to restrain my urge to pur...I mean guide such noble efforts.

And same here, gloves come off when Prospero drops... I can stop doing crossover 30/40K units and sink my teeth into the Heresy properly.. Your Raven Guard will make excellent allies to the Rout.

I know, I keep taking out my B@C stuff and want to build it, but then I stop.... Waiting is gnawing at me, but at least I can save a little more, and get the essential extra bits ready in advance!

 

Going to arrange a big bits order and a maintenance kit for the airbrush, so I can give it a whirl!!

ETL will be a whole different animal for me this year :)

I don't see lots of Tau, and when I do they are just dirty xenos. I already have low expectations

 

The Wolves should know better.

 

And I really, really wanna build my BaC into Wolves but hate the idea of having unusable models. I'm going slowly crazier

I have a ton of Mk3 armor already painted in my wolves scheme , so I know I will have troops   and with terminator armor being  universal I have the Terminators.  The questions come with the rest of the list and the right of war.   The rules will dictate to me what I will need to invest in.   Hopefully our Unique units end up being worth taking ( im looking at you phalanx warder squads )   Russ will be a thing obviously but what about Bjorn cause you know out of space wolf characters thats happening for sure and I would imagine that he will be a praetor level character like Khârn and Sigismund etc.  Who gets the other slot ?   Weve seen Precious little of Lord Gunn and other than him who have we really got ?   Will Wolf Priests and Rune Priests make an appearance. Its all very exciting.  At the same time its infuriating to have to wait. But what are you gonna do other than  work on  what you have at hand. 


And sharpen an axe.

I mean The chaos forum isn't that bad. It's waaay better then it used to be. There's some truly awesome threads there like inspirational Friday, PLOGS and the legion specific threads. people aren't as bitter as they used to be, I think mainly because they have accepted it and decided to embrace the creative side of chaos which was helped by the new mods like Forte, Flint, and Tenebrous (RIP).

 

But this is all besides the point and I would imagine Wolf Lord Kieran would probably appreciate that we stop talking of chaos.

 

The game looked very cool, RayRay brought the forces of chaos and almost defeated you with warp nonsense but you defeated him only with your bolter and combat blade. The inner black templar in me is proud! When will the next game be? Also are you just waiting for wolves or are you going to add anything to your raven guard?

You are very correct Brother Marshall, let us talk of more important things...namely me.

 

I wish the game went that way, I seem to remember more dumb luck and fortunate die rolls. I managed a few good rolls on d3 strategy cards and Ray didn't. He had me on the back foot from turn 1, and played an excellent game. In our frequent text barrages during work, I flat out told Ray he outplayed me and I felt as if I lost the game, score be damned.

 

I'm not sure when our next game is going to be, real life has a headlock on the both of us. I'm hoping sooner rather than later. We'll see

 

I am waiting for the Wolves, but don't plan on stopping my RG just yet. Im debating on a leviathan dread or a xiphon, but wanna get more painted first.
