At one point, I thought I was going to get at least one squad of every Legion painted myself. I'm still a long way off from even starting that effort. So I'm looking forward to this thread.

I will often post on my clubs behalf but I'm sure they will be posting things as well. I'll start off by posting some of my Sons of Horus and go from there. The armies we currently field mostly or fully painted are: Iron Hands, Sons of Horus, Word Bearers, Imperial Fists, Dark Mechanicum, Mechanicum, Raven Guard, Alpha Legion, Night Lords, and Ultra Marines. We have Emperors Children, Death Guard, Solar Auxilia, and White Scars in the works.

I've got a side project to build an Independent Character and appropriately themed squad from every Legion and any of the permutations in heraldry they might've had. Hasn't started yet, just thought it would be a fun project.

The Sons look great Rage, and there are some lovely conversions in there. Did the army start prior to the HH series from Forgeworld, and you've subsequently integrated in FW models, or is the conversion work something you've done to enhance the unique SoH feel? Love the army anyway!

Fantastic looking army (and damn good table too).  Weathering on the tanks looks great.  I look forward to hearing more from your group.

Marshal Rohr: That's a pretty great idea. Throw some pics on here when you've started! I started off my collection with a very similar project.

 

Kor'Vesh: I actually started off by collecting and painting a Luna Wolves army to use in tournaments and eventually converted them over to the Sons for the campaign. I have intentionally used a mix of kits for the armour and weapons for some armies and kept the kits limited for others. In the case of the Sons I wanted to represent the vast number of sources they use for their armour and weapons (being the Warmasters chosen and all). In addition to changing the flavour of the force it also allows me to use up my vast collection of unpainted and unassembled space marine kits.

 

Adra'Malek: Thanks for the compliments! I will definitely be experimenting with some new weathering powders I have acquired to add some much needed grit to the forces of this conflict.

I'll post some more pictures of the Thunderhawk tonight. Its made out of two storm raven kits and some extra pieces from Rhino kits. Also there is a huge amount of plastic cards and plastic tubing. I figured with all the variant designs of craft used by the traitor legions (having to source from beyond the eyes of the Imperium) that it was fairly appropriate I make my own.
