Funny how we can wrack our brains for ideas and then get hit with epiphanies while plugging away at projects. My days that "Raven" is fantastic. Love the pose, it just oozes menace. The nail I wanted to hit! Thanks :) I'm not even being facetious, the Raven is one of my all time favorite models. It's difficult to illustrate an entire narrative with a simple model, and yet, that's exactly what you've done here with this guy. It's almost as if we can tell where he's been and what he's seen. His motives and persona. Awesme stuff, dude. Also, I've never seen a crested Mk. 6 head, which looks legit. Good call. Wow, that's high praise. I'm flattered and happy you dig him as much as you do. It all came together really well. Definitely one of my favorite works. I like where you are going with this, some very characterful conversions you have going on KBA. Awesome work so far!! I'd go for a mix to be honest, pteruges have shown up on a load of power armoured marines in FW's books, and let's face it, chanmail is just badass. Another idea along the trophy route would be loincloths made out of torn Loyalist banners - probably vexilla standards if they're just on normal Legionaries, but that could look cool. I never liked the tribal stuff on the RG contemptor, and so mashed up the torso with the relic contemptor parts, green stuffing and shaving off the tribal patterns on what I kept.
