Applied a glaze, then a couple washes, and some more air brushing.

The armor plating is highlight ready, and then detail work and weathering. Should have a light box (built-this-in-a-cave-with-a-box-of-scraps edition) soon

"Oh hi Thread!"

Reviving this one as I'm ready to jump back in. Retribution showed up in my mail box last week, and I'm thankful the ebb and flow of my hobby involvement worked the way it did. The book is fantastic and allows for some really imaginative combinations. Also, the Standard Bearer has most definitely been promoted to Herald.

Technical difficulties: I need some ventilation advice also after blowing SoH green out of my nose for a couple days, and dusting off quite a thick layer of settle off the rooms shelf surfaces. So anyone with airbrushing advice on that is more than welcome to post thoughts.

Lastly, as tempting as Blackshields are, my plate is more than full. They are a modeller's wetdream, and I feel unwashed not having a go at them, but my Legion needs allies cut from a more focused, cohesive cloth. So, Blood Angels. My SoH are Pre-Heresy, and I think it would be pretty fun and interesting to tackle them fighting alongside what I would imagine to be some of their closest bros -- looking at how well Horus and Sanguinuis got along. Some BA treats for the future:

More tanks (as I wait for BA bitz)

My SoH siege company is pretty old as far as the crusade goes, and unlike most of the Warmaster's ilk, haven't been resupplied in quite a long time. No vindicators here. Just big super heavies and a nasty squadron of Malcadors. This should contrast the shiny new toys my BA will have nicely :)

I like the idea of Malcadors - primarily they are assault tanks and their weapon arcs reinforce this idea. Heaven forbid they get flanked...

Excellent choice of vehicles.

I need inspiration for putting together my second Malc, so totes looking forward to seeing what you're doing with this one :D

I picture Malcadors to almost be like childrens' wind-up toys: point 'em in one direction and go. Good against static defenses. 360 degree turrets? Not so much. Ive got three of these suckers, and really wanted to do one of them up as a home brew 'Choom-ador'. But the choomy weapon off the styrix doesn't really lend itself to such a small receptacle. My back up idea: a Choom-blade :)

Just take a picture of yourself in the mirror with every bit of unpainted plastic and resin liked around you. Granted, I don't know if you have piles of stuff lying around unpainted as you actually paint stuff, but for me that would be like shaming myself to lose weight after looking naked in the mirror :D

Pick that brush up KBA! Your collection deserves it and you can do it justice! It's all about your heartblood as a hobbyist, and judging from your builds you've got barrels of that stuff. :)

Thanks for the kind words :)

With that, a little bit of progress on the Something-Blade (I can never remember the names of these variants). Metallic paints can be so finicky!

Next on the build list is a double siege drilled (fluff > crunch) Leviathan. Should look good next to my pair of chain fisted boxy dreads :)

This year should be fun :). I'm planning to pledge quite a bit. What's the time span we have for ETL? I'd like build stuff to prioritize for it, and based on the amount of time we're given to complete I may have to bump things up or down.
