Your wee boy has got a pretty good kitbashing eye :) Did he specify he wanted the blue and red? If not, I'm not entirely sure mix-n-matching the blue and red on the bike would be the right thing to do: I'd probably stick with only the company marking on the bike (I'm supposing that's what the blue is ^^), or else just have a small Pack-badge on the armour section for the handlebars.

Also, don't you think he deserves to be a wolf guard? ;)

The champion's coming along really well! The fleshtone is rather stunning :) I do hope to see some kind of gold threads on the cape though ;)

Lord Thorn: took your advice with regards to the bike and have done both sides of the fairing blue, and will add Krakendooms symbol to each side. and yes he will be a Wolf Guard.

The body was already chopped so he chose it and the weapons load-out ( I would not entrust a metal model and a dremel to a 6 year old :biggrin.: )

Blue will work well as Scott Tracy is Ben's avourite character along with Thunderbird 1.

He looks fantastic! Love the power fields on the swords and the flesh tones on his head (one of the coolest heads that FW makes).

And the overall hue of the Grey armor is excellent.

Thanks guys, the conversion was so simple.

I just cut away the plasma pistol and rotated the arm 90 degrees, lopped off the other arm and put a dwarf forearm in, the cloak and head were easy.

Glad you like the swords, I will keep them as-is.

Slowly getting bits done now.

Going home tomorrow :smile.:

I almost at the point of deciding whether to do some knotwork on the armour, or chipping.

or both or neither? The model is already fairly detailed, I do not want it looking cluttered

He looks fantastic as is, he is quite detailed already, don't feel pressured to add even more, especially if you feel like it might take away from how he currently looks and feels.

So I got off the rig a week ago, and thank goodness for my models or I would have gotten divorced.

Had a really stressful week helping my wife study for her Masters degree and we are not yet through the first semester!!

Took a day to do, mainly due to the pesky feathers snapping off the backpack wings and me trying to glue them back on. It was a ham-fisted ffair and I do not mind telling you a few few expletive deleteds were uttered during construction...

Second iron-priest head looks best, imho.

The wolf helmet works better in 40k, were "Wolf McWolfson" belongs.

Also, the power fields on jorgundr is amazing!

I agree on the IW helm for the Iron Priest, looks good and the optics help reinforce the techy aspect, just need something subtle to make him a wolf.

Oddly enough you say the wolf helm is too Wolfy Mcwolf, but if you read Leman Russ from the Primarch series, it appears that Russ wears a wolf head deathmask, when out chopping stuff up, just as the lion also wears a helm. BL seem to be making 30K wolves more 40K in appearance, but that is my interpretation.

Personally I like the more stripped back look

Jorgmundrs swords were not too hard. I started from a 50:50 black and leadbelcher mix and added runefang steel to it until it was pure runefang at the lightest point. I then did multiple coats or guillemann/ ardcoat mix over the blade to deepen the colour and give it a nice blue, before running pure runefang down the spine of the sword and the very edges..

You can do this with any colour blade as the "colour" comes in from the glazes, the ardcoat is just because the glazes dry matte

With regards to Corax

I got some metallic black, from Vallejo, so thinking of giving that a go... But what colours for the traitor should I go for?? Was thinking emperors Children or Word Bearer for something different!

Spent the morning trying to sculpt the hems then ave up, gs will not stick to anything but me!!

Chopped the nose off the IF helms which looks okay and used some IW helms... Gonna have to use paint to hide the hems origins (especially the AL ones)

The afternoons were taking my son to get his hearing tested.His hearing was perfect so n more damned excuses fr not ding as he is told.

This evening I have been reviewing my wifes report on case law, for her degree. Trying to get it down from 2900 to 2500 words. Who would have though that legal-ese would be so complex?? Got it down to just under 2600 words

Hopefully have something worth showing tomorrow!!
