Vel'Cona
I'm in love with the wind-weathering effect! Wonder if it's possible to go back and do this on a fully highlighted/drybrushed Vendetta? WarriorFish
I'm sure it is Vel, that's the good thing about weathering as there's almost always scope to add it on previously completed models :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303832-small-ig-and-scion-force/page/6/#findComment-4126521 Share on other sites
UltraRich
Hi Id definitely do this after its been highlighted. What Id do is spray it with purity seal first. That way if you do it and it looks bad you can just wipe off the oils and reset it back to how you started WarriorFish and The Ergonomic Enginseer 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303832-small-ig-and-scion-force/page/6/#findComment-4126554 Share on other sites

UltraRich
Thanks Guys Heres a quick update Ive finished the door gunners and given the outside its final weather. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4984_zpsaqjakomt.jpg Im really pleased with how this is now looking http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4986_zpslxf5s64z.jpg Im not going to get the minis done on the base in time but Id class this as done as the base is complete. So I'll take them off for the ETL http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4988_zpso1vktzsl.jpg However here is whats planned Gunner looking down his scope doesnt see the ripper sneaking up http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4989_zpssvwlavum.jpg Injured sarg shouts a warning while blasting one coming over the wall. Im also going to put a pile of grenades next to him as a last stand http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4990_zpstsipxjon.jpg Mithrilforge, WarriorFish, librisrouge and 4 others 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303832-small-ig-and-scion-force/page/6/#findComment-4128825 Share on other sites

UltraRich
Thanks again guys. Encouragement is a good thing! Nearly final update....... Door gunners and heavy bolters done Ive actually managed to do this so the gunner is glued to the bolter but not the floor so you can position him around the cabin http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4992_zpsqx2k6xec.jpg Just need to do a bit of highlighting on the gunners arm that Ive just washed http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4995_zpsbtrbxcb9.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4996_zpswac8iotm.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f372/rbrewster101/IMG_4997_zpskyldwdpx.jpg librisrouge, Captain Antargo, WarriorFish and 3 others 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303832-small-ig-and-scion-force/page/6/#findComment-4130927 Share on other sites
march10k
That is a ridiculously awesome weathering job on what would otherwise be a really boring paint job (on account of the bog-standard shade of green on the aircraft, screaming "this was the model they used for the webstore photo") Also, the first painted interior I've seen (ahem, I have four valks...doors glued shut, lol), and a damned fine job of painting that!
