15th Black Crusade(AKA ETL)

Uprising

I think you've gotta give it a chance. I have spit my own weight in acid at GW releases for years, but give this a read and it really touches on what Khorne is all about, the ultimate annihilation of the self.

There's a beauty in this book and all my little red dudes on my table are nodding in agreement...

Not really interested in Khorne anymore. I also don't think the effectiveness of the rules will benefit a lower budget, smaller points army I will be using.

We have a whole tread here about the dex.  Let keep this ETL focus please http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305221-khorne-daemonkin-discussion-tactics-background/

I think the majority of this thread is testament to it...

Like I have probably a hundred Berzerkers I could theoretically pledge - a new Codex means people generally feel inclined to paint something current. Irrespective of the Codex's buffs...

Keep the positivity rolling - and then next year I can dedicate to Tzeentch!

I want to see you do Tzeentch stuff. But, like you've said, I'm fully expecting the boards to run red with blood and paint (no longer blood red though  )

I still have pots of Blood Red. I still have the GW Red Ink!

Ordered my 15 Flesh Hounds so they should be here for the start, just need to figure out the rest of my list.

Still have mine too. I always preferred Ruby Red ;)

And you need another Fleshhound. Multiples of 8 for full fluffiness :tu:

Actually, of the all the Gods, it's the one that I have the least of! A fair few sorcerers (like Ahriman) and a couple of squads, but I can't honestly remember having that much else. Always nice to paint something different from just grime. I'd love a very Egyptian style Thousand Sons army, you know, channel some of those 3rd party bits and the Fantasy Tomb Kings range... that'd be awesome.

And, not to mention, all that Slaanesh stuff that needs an outlet...

This is why I love the ETL - motivation!

I'm looking forward to trying out some budget conversion ideas, such as using Chaos Hounds to model Flesh Hounds, and Chaos Knights to make Bikers. The aim being to deliver some unique models whilst trying to save some money (well to buy more models with really)

So, I been thinking maybe people would like to get on skype and have a painting night during ETL. This way we get feedback on miniatures and strengthen community bonds.

Would but you'd all laugh at how much time I spend mixing colours and licking my brush. Plus the wife would spend the whole time having a laugh at my expense in the background.

No shame in that. I've yet to meet a fellow minature painter who doesn't lick his brushes. We all do it msn-wink.gif

EDIT: Unless you mean your personal "brush"...I haven't accomplished that feat yet :P

I have been told these sessions or Google hangouts are remarkably popular for increasing productivity - could work!

Yes well... Some limitations on super vows should be expected...

We are Chaos, we transcend limitations smile.png

Ahem, more seriously, why limit vows? Why not put up penalties instead so if you vow and fail, the points you've vowed come off the team score.

Should make people a little more focused on achievable results but offers a challenge for the speedier painters.

I'll be vowing for Chaos this year but will likely have little more than a spawn and perhaps 20 Daemonettes to paint for the ETL. My Psychopomps have far too many colours for their points! Perhaps I can get some more models built up as the event goes on.

Every little bit helps the chaos cause.

Sure does. Even small but amazingly painted vows can help keep momentum going for others.

I think I'll be magnetising my Lords arms.
