I, the guy whom is posting, already identified automatically via the forum system, pledges the following:

  • x2 Castallax, one w/darkfire cannon
  • and the remaining EC marines after completing color test x2

in the current month, the fifth of said in this very year.

Lots of work travel and such in May so this could be a real challenge but oh well, this thread is to help motivate us right?

Cheers, -OMG

Hey yall! Lets get this heresy train rolling!

This month I pledge to paint up:

-One UltraMarines Champion consul

-One Nightlords praetor

-One Leman Russ executioner

Im kinda waiting on a new bottle of yellow so I cant paint up anymore fists for the time being (Gf knocked the table and the paint fell while it was open lol) SO im going to get the parts of my first pledge done that arent in yellow done first, so please ignore Pollux and the Heavys.

Oh, and I vote for Rattra........I MEAN RAKTRA...yeah definitely wasnt going to say Rattray, I juts loved the gorgons and Mor biggrin.png

before I go off half cocked making vows for this month I just wanted to check something. Maybe I missed it but I can find no reference to a "relic blade" equivalent in 30k. Now I understand it would not be a relic blade for another 10 thousand years and all but that two handed chainsword in the weapons kit is begging me to convert it into a power sword (the only way to get more templary then having a sword is having a bigger sword right?) So my question the the gathered Fraters is if I model a zwei hander and a holstered side arm would you be willing to accept it as a power weapon or paragon blade for game purposes when playing in a tourney or against those over starched rule mongers we all know (and love) ?

#2 Color test model complete.

I do like the shade better though the change is subtle (note that I did lighten up the previous model at tad as well).  I do find that my typical approach to weathering armor isn't looking quite right on the pink base.  Comes off more sloppy than weathered.  Comments welcome and I will continue to ponder as I work through the rest of the squad.

Cheers, all - OMG

Votes! Kriegriss, for all the yellow I never could force myself to paint and, poom, for making me want to order Mechanicum allies instead of more Iron Hands.

And now, pledgetime! A Sicaran and a Castermen Orth on foot with cyber-familiar to paint and a kitbash of Reconnaissance marines in scout armour!

Firstly a big well done to everyone for April...this is getting to big to comment to everyone personally lol so again a big thumbs up to everyone :-)

Pledge time....I pledge to paint 5 cataphractii for the Iron IVth and BUILD 2 dreadnoughts..

Hopefully add more termies as the month goes on..

@OMG...they both look impressive. ..but im leaning more towards the 1st test minii you painted. The colour and effects seem to work better imo...look forward to seeing more though

Im pledging

Give me a month, it shall be done!

So, I'm at work and painting my Forge Lord on bike (basecoating, really) on my lunch, when I realize something:

I forgot to put a bloody shoulder pad on his left arm. Big as those shoulders are, you'd think I'd have noticed it. Oh, well: continuing to paint. I'll grab a spare when I get home and glue it on.
