Hello all and thanks for looking at my posts all about my HH Iron Warriors, been a long time fan since reading Storm of Iron (1st run) and played Iron Warriors in 40k since, fell out of love with 40k around end of 6th/start of 7th.

 

Anyway always loved Iron Warriors and love the Heresy so thought I would make the plunge and start a Warhost, first up and quick play around with parts for my Warsmith ;

Not bad. Certainly no frills, which would be right up the Iron Warriors' alley. Bit of flash to clean up but you already knew that. Might I suggest joining the ETL, if you're interested in painting up some units? I'll let you take a look around rather than direct you there immediately. Unless you want a link, of course. :wink:

@ Redempto, Thanks for the post, defiantly no frills thats for people who worship the corpse Emperor, not sure what the ETL is ill have to look into this,

 

@ Grand Magnus , No worries, its the Legion Champion Body and Backpack, Head from the Tank Crew Set, Arms from the Iron Warrior Event Model and ofcourse MK3 Iron Warrior Shoulder Pad for Right and Mk3 for Left, 

 

@ Kurama, Thank you very much, im scared of starting to paint them but feel comfortable and once I do the pictures will flow,

Brother I know that feeling 2 years ago I joined up to get advice on my angron that I painted and now I'm an addict to the B&C.

Todays update,

 

Didn't get as much as I had hoped today but did manage to get all of the following washed and ready for some assembling;

So in this picture above contains, 5 Breachers, Iron Warrior Contemptor with two assault cannons, Weapon Accessories, Both Event Models for 2015, Tank Crew and some Iron Warrior Shoulder pads.

 

Aswell as above, I also got around to magnetizing my Sicirian sponsons to allow Heavy Bolter or Lascannon, thought I would share some photos of how I magnetized each part, using 3mm by 1mm magnets;

I feel it all goes together very nicely and have put a thin coat of green stuff just to cover any gaps to achieve the following, all I need to work on next is how to magnetize the cables that attach to the Lascannon/Heavy Bolter;

Contemtpor went together like a treat, I spent a while playing around with the pose, felt like playing with an action man with all the possible posses, in the end I went for the following, the ball joint which connects the torso to the legs isn't glued, for ease of painting.

Awesome work, dude! This isn't the wrong forum. Many people have 30k threads in the WIP section. It is totally up to you though (weather it goes in the Age of Darkness or WIP forum) :)

ForgeWorld have performed great for me in regards to their postage, I ordered this stuff on Saturday Afternoon and it arrived this morning at work, despite we had a bank holiday here on Monday, anyway when I get in ill unbox and show of some of the new toys !

@ Dantioch - Thanks, the Sicarian is a gorgeous model (when viewed on a Forge World webpage and in some of the youtube videos) im hoping that the gaps that I have can be filled easily, 

 

@ Olis - Yeh feels like it a bit, no more purchases's until I get what I have now built, painted and played, which most likely will be Christmas, (just hoping its xmas 2015 not 2016)

So only a small update tonight, the cleaning process of my reserves began;

So this brings my model count to the following;

 

 

• Warsmith in Terminator Armour with Servo Arm (Iron Hand Iron Farther Model)
• Legion Champion and Master of Signal
• Narik
• Skor
• Iron Warrior Contemptor with Twin Assault Cannons
• 10 Breachers MK3
• 10 Tactical Marines MK3
• 5 Heavy Weapon Marines, Lascannons MK3
• Rapier Laser Destroyer
• Sicarian 

 

To mix in with the MK3 Marines iv picked up some Iron Hand Heads with all the bionics to randomly place within the units

 

 

Also in my order came the Legion books, so I can finely start to get an idea about what kind of force I will be building;

I'm hoping that I now have all the tools I need to build a 1000pt list, iv played around briefly with an Army builder program but hoping the books above will add more insight,

Second wash of Nuln Oil followed by a sparatic Agrax Earth shade pleased with the look so far, thinking for flesh I want to go a pasty white, almost Ravenguard skin tone,

so no updates in a few days, fear not for I have not lost interest, works been mad with it being exam period and course work submission dates, however a few photos to keep me ticking over;

 

This guy arrived in the post today very pleased lovely sculpt and after reading the rules (after purchase) im impressed with what we can do, shame he takes up a HQ slot though, if you have seen Dune (David Lynch version) ill get going for that kind of look,

 

 

Twins ! and I thought only the alpha legion played that game, trying out a second method of painting with these guys, one has been sprayed with the bolt gun metal method as described above, the one of the right will get some airbrush love on Sunday and ill do a comparison of the two, once this is done ill be sorted and full steam ahead,

 

 

On other news, ill be attending ComicCon on Friday, for Forge world of course to pick up some new toys 'possibly',
