Rather than the nihilak oxyde (which, like the name states, represents copper oxydation), I would suggest the Temple guard blue which is the old hawk turquoise, but a little darker and desaturated.

Add white and just work the enlightments as usual., this is actually what I've done with the arc rifle though I've added a little teclis blue to the base coat.

Gotta agree: Nice looking model!  I always procrastrinate on those decals and am personally not a huge fan of the whole stripe-down-the-middle painting. However, it looks awesome! A tiny suggestion if I may: With the model so dirty and worn in, why are its feet so "clean"? Those should be the most dirty parts. I would suggest to shovel Typhus Corrosion on them (just the bottom part. The little "platforms" he stands on) or that technical Mud color.

Did you use a sponge for the weathering? It looks really nice and I did the same and mine looks pretty similar.

has me itching to get my own but patience is a virtue!

What? No! You got the first part - the "I want that thing!"-part - right but the patience stuff? The Ad Mech isn't really known for their patience. It's the first of March so you should have gotten your wage. Now spend those hard earned moneys and get your mechandrites on some new plastic toys! :D

@Moguy. Yes the legs could have been dirtier but the main problem is that weathering looks clearly bad on black parts (actually you don't even notice there is weathering) + those locations are really hard to reach with my blister sponge... I consider that the stabilisator goes up when the machine walk and therefore act like a shield against the mud ;)

The beast is done

do they come from the deep darkness of your cybernetical brain? :tongue.:

Deepest recesses thereof, brother. I had to brush off the pocket-lint and a coin. I'm pretty sure there's a few more down there I can dredge up, if you like. :)

By the automatic hair dryer of the omnimessiah, you have an integrated name generator? :P

Here are my favourite

House Galvas

House Oltaius

House De'Narma

House Digitas

Need to organize a poll somewhere...
