so i have one Question: how did you go about painting the inside of the Spartan? I Started on a Chaos Landraider, but i allways glued the doors together, but i'll try to paint it this time, after i saw your WIP, do you have any tipps for me? :)

So as you would have seen in the pics I did it in parts so I have access to everything. I originally tried to do it in the worlds eaters white but it didn't look right so I did the following which was really simple:

 

Undercoat black

Dry brush everything silver

Dry brush certain areas with a browny red for rust

Wash with nuln oil

Pick out areas with agrax earth shade

Apply some typhus corrosion to areas you want grimes

 

The trick is to just let the washes do all of the work

Been wanting to do these goes since I got them. They are fantastic sculpts and after using them for the first time at the weekend, I love them! 5 attacks each on the charge, yes please!

Well, it's been a long time without a post....

 

Scorched earth happened and was truly amazing! Greg from the imperial truth did such an awesome job and everyone thee was insanely nice and fun to play. It wasn't too gamey (although I did face a knight army..!) and was all about just having fun and showing off each other's army. To top it off, I was voted most sporting and won a pro painted primarch as a prize!

 

This also means I now have 2250 of fully painted world eaters however I took very few pics and the ones I did take, are pretty :cuss...will try and get some pics today when I'm gaming

 

on the works bench are a few rhinos, some plasma dudes and 10 more marines to do, plus a vehicle weathering tutorial and then going about the next 500 points for the 12th....

 

And finally our 30k campaign is into game 3 on Wednesday night meaning yet more gaming

I have been hobying still, just in the form of playing rather than modelling at the moment. Manage to be part of a 7,500 a side last week which was pretty epic:

Have a trip organised to go to warhammer world last day of September to play some games with my local group and want to have my last few units painted before hand. Left to do are..

Not a huge amount, but to have every mini painted would be a nice achievement so paint will resume soon I'm sure!

Finally, some paint on minis. Got 2 events coming up and had not painted :cuss so decided to ban myself from gaming until I'd painted everything

Weekend just gone ran a Cortus with chainfists, the kharybdis had 15 despoilers, Angron and surlak and the anvilus 10 inductii just for the pod tax

 

Works quite well but the kharybdis takes a bit of finesse I think. Only used it 3 times but likely in larger games where I can run 2 Spartans and this, Angron and co in a Spartan instead using the K for inductii. It appears they are generally left out in the wild once the kharybdis goes boom, luckily though it generally blows up due to melta bombs and not gunfire

 

What do you put in yours?
