Inquisitor Kravin
I didn't want to give spoilers but it is described when he assumes the position and accoutrements of a certain brother sorceror. Somerandomidiot
Got quite a bit more done on the first Knight this weekend. After some long thought, I've decided to do the heads in yellow, to match the Legio Astorum paint scheme. I also darkened up the superstructure, hopefully that'll provide a better contrast against the bright silver of the armor plates. I also discovered that my light box is too small for a Knight, so I'm going to have to build a bigger one, but at least it helps. Somerandomidiot
I've made considerably more progress on my Knights, as well as defining how my Thousand Sons fit into the greater picture of the heresy. After some thought, I want them to remain loyalist, so here's a bit of background introducing them... For a moment, the universe stood still. Thiel Mhet, Librarian of the Thousand Sons, focused on the enumerations, forcing his mind into well-traveled thought patterns. As if standing in the eye of a hurricane, Mhet watched as the battle flowed around him. Alpharius' thrice-damned sons were skilled at subterfuge, but to a talented member of the Corvidae their feints were simple to unravel."Squad Rho, on me!" he commanded over the vox. Perhaps this listening post would provide the answers he sought. Ever since the decision at Nikea, everything had been turned upside down. As a member of the Rehati and one of the few who remained from the Unification, Thiel had argued against continuing in empyreal research he felt had gone too far, particularly the ever increasing use of tutelaries and borderline-sorcerous rites. For this audacity, he and all who had supported him were banished from Prospero, never to return. With heavy hearts, they had boarded the small expeditionary fleet that was to serve as their new home. Magnus was gracious enough to allow them a modicum of supporting elements, including the oathsworn knights of House Apollo, two regiments of the Altarian Third, a small contingent of Titan engines from Legio Astorum, and a Mechanicum manufactory vessel. All told, they represented a formidable fighting force, and over the last few years had brought seven systems into compliance, including ending the threat of the Jiran Combine, having razed all worlds where the foul xenos had once held sway. This, however, was different. During the purging of a particularly powerful warp-cult on the fourth world of the Skaros system, one of the tactical squads dedicated to cleansing their underground temples had gone off-vox for a few minutes. The significance of this event was only realized several days later, when the Alpha Legion operatives who had replaced the unfortunate legionnaries were interrupted attempting to sabatage the Gellar Field of the fleet's flagship, the Dawn of Illumination. Unfortunately, the saboteurs elected to take their own lives rather than submit to interrogation, and since that day the Thousand Sons under Mhet's command had fought a shadow war against an Alpha Legion force of unknown provenance. The culmination of which had finally arrived.Thiel Mhet entered what he assumed to be the command room of the small listening post, already aware of the five Alpha Legionnaries awaiting him. Bolters ready, the operatives let loose a torrent of fire, but Mhet was faster. Two of them fell immediately, plasma smoking from their chestpieces, and the others fared little better as armor split before Thiel's beautifully crafted axe. As the last marine fell, Mhet let his focus return to the present. It was then that his eyes fell on one document in particular, marked with the sigil of the Warmaster himself... As well, here's some pictures of further progress on the Knights of House Apollo.
