Hello Battle Brothers!

I've begun the hobby just recently and have decided to play a custom chapter based on everyone's favorite jolly and cooperative video game knight, Solaire of Astora.

Now to mix things up I'm going to keep my chapter master as Solaire as possible, however the Marines fighting under him are going to be from an Aztec/Mayan inspired jungle death world he was placed in charge of starting a chapter on during an unknown founding. They are savage, brutal, and unrelenting fighters. However, at the same time they care greatly for mankind in the galaxy and on their home world and endeavour to assist other chapters/imperial Guard whenever they can and engage in jolly cooperation. 

This mixture of Solaire's naive optimism in the face of darkness and despair thrown in with mesoamerican warrior culture should make for an interesting chapter indeed! There will be a proper write up of their lore and Solaire journey from the continent of Lordran to the greater galaxy of the 41st millennium in due time. 

I shared my first marine on Reddit and imgur, but I won't be doing that again until I have a decent force to show off. (And definetly not without having Chapter Master Solaire finished!) So I'll use this forums to share my work and take C&C.

Be kind please! I'm new to the hobby and these are my very first space marines! (AND PAINTING THINGS WHITE IS HARD >.<)

I am a great souls fan too, the dark gritty atmosphere, and the this good hearted Solaire...I should play fewer times and work more on my army I suppose^^

How do I get a Storm Shield on a Space Marine Captain model? The model has the body fused with the arm holding the bolter. >.<

I dun want a bolter. I want a storm shield!!!

Any alternatives? I looked through the GW store and couldn't find anything viable.

Why, the old commander set, of course!!

just sub in some assault marine legs and ditch the cape, then slap on the vanguard vets' shield and a power sword, and it's all good!

You might want to shake your spray can for a bit more, or find another place to undercoat you models. The white seems very grainy on some of your models.

 

It was a couple of my sergeants. I prime somehwere else now, I was very fortunate that the grain wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I need some help..

I want to put a leopard pelt on my Dreadnought. Sculpting that out of green stuff should be self explanatory but how the heck do I paint that??
