Excellent progress on the Nurgle Knight! I love the weathered chevrons, and that green goop is a hideous addition (and I mean that in the best possible way)!

I am probably too late with this remark, but seeing the model assembled like this, I cannot help noticing that glowing green eyes would probably have worked better than the red ones you have now. Food for thought, maybe...

Yes, I thought that as well.. I was aiming to keep it tied to the rest of my Iron Warriors so it was getting my standard treatment, but I have felt that they are not quite right.

OK its been a few weeks since I updated. Iam very bad about keeping up with many threads at once... I will do a big post when I have finished the ETL.

Anyway I took a break from painting yesterday to get some more models put together. Not sure if/what Iam doing for Vow 5 of the ETL but it may be some of these guys.

As I used the head from the soul grinder on the Knight of Khorne I felt it was appropriate to use a Knight head on a Soul Grinder.

Inspired by Aasfresser I used the helbrute weapons to make the Oblitorators a little better.

UPDATE TIME...

As per normal I become very bad about posting about my models when I have a event thread I am watching. So will post some information about that in a second, but first my currently project building a display board for the army's on parade in October. Currently I have mapped out the layout of the buildings on my poster paper and next weekend i will start to build up the plans for the details between the buildings.. then I will glue the plan onto a foam bord and start to then build the details up.

so photos bellow the cut.

The Soul Grinder

For my Last ETL vow I managed to get my Soul Grinder painted up, this isn't the best thing i have done, I had some problems with the Spray paint the conditions were a bit to humid and i lost detail that made the whole paint job frustrating, but despite that Iam kinda happy with the model and one day I will revist it to add some more details

My ETL Vow 4 was a bunch of HQ options...

Forge World Limited Edition Praetor

First up was the LE Praetor, I made a headswap using one of the heads from the Iron Warriors upgrade kit heads... loved painting this modle very happy with it. Though looking at the photos I may need to re-touch the hazard stripes on the legs.

Edited by Uveron

I got some more work done on my display table this weekend. Made some changes to how the board is going to look. I decided against using the city's of death table and going for a more fortified encampment.

See photos bellow the cut.

Update Time!

So this weeked I made a start on the first part my Call of Chaos Vow, namley 3 Oblitorators, unlike the rest of my Iron Warriors Collection I plan to paint the ‘Skin’ along with the metalics to make the edges overrun slighty to try and give the sence that the armour and the skin are the same thing.

I have also been making some progress with the display table, this is the current status (complete with the army I will be taking to a GT event in a few weeks)

I managed to get my Obliterators finished this week.

Mostly happy with the painting on these, though I do need to work out a way to build a light-box so I can start to get better pictures.

UPDATE TIME!

Ok.

In the first weekend of October I attended the Iron Halo GT. I took my Iron Warriors using the standard Codex (and a pair of Knights). The event didn’t allow for the use of rules published after September 1st so wasn’t able to use anything from the Traitors Hate Book. Overall I had a great time, played some great games. Results wise I scored 9th in painting, 19th Overall, 54th on battle points (Out of a total of 80 players).

My list was 2 Sorcerers (One on a Bike). 2 squads of marines in Rhinos, A unit of 3 Spawn, 2 Knights, 1 Helblade, and 3 Obliterators.

Anyway my Games.

My first game was against a Guard Player and fellow Frater (Duz_) It was a great game we played it to a nice gentlemanly draw. My army doesn’t deal with hords very well, but I was able to protect my knights well and if the game had ran to 8 turns or so I may have won eventualy. Anyway Duz_ has a post with his experiances of the event here (www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317654-a-mordian-march-to-glory/?p=4523259)

gallery_63905_11231_8217.jpg

The other games were against, Necrons, A Battle company, A second Guard List, Sisters of Battle and then A War Convocation (with Blood Angles Alies)

Ok..

Then this weekend I did some work on getting my display table together for army's on Parade.. I guess it looks OK, going to decide if I am actually going to enter the event. It’s a bit of a drive for me and may just enjoy a fall weekend at home with my family.

I like the SGT!

Ive been painting the tips of my HSLGs with a layer of yellow and metallic dry brushing to give them a bit of a pop.

Thanks for the Tip! I only have the very basic colour tones on  these guys as of yet. Going to try and get them done this weekend!

Ok, Very quick update. I traveled up to the local GW store this weekend and entered the Armys on Parade.

I didn't get a medal, we had 20 displays so was some very fierce competition

Fair play your display board does look very good and in fitting with your theme.

Somehow I managed to miss a couple of months of updates here but that at least gave me loads to look through, great work.

Thanks! The Display Board was a fun build, when I work on my next one I have some improvements I want to make. More Layers, build the base out of something a little stronger.

Anyway Update Time!

I was able to finish the my Renegade Grenadiers, they were fun to paint and a nice break from the Loyalists i am working on, the mix of the Marauders and the scion kit worked quite well but I think if I was todo it again I would add in a few other parts to make the models fit a little better.

Display board looks awesome. I'm determined to enter Armies on Parade next year, Renegades are looking great as well.

Thanks! It was fun to build, My advice to others following my experiance is make sure the 'base bord' is made of something that will not bend when covered in paint.

I really like the look you've achieved with these renegades!

Thanks! I think I have them down now, which is nice as I still have alot to paint!
