Thanks! Here's some more shots of Perturabo:

The Lord of Iron brooks no dissent; courts no allies; and needs little introduction....

Close ups of converted Forgebreaker, still in Iron Hands colours.

A look at the fantastic detail on the back of the figure.

Wristcannons are an awsome sci-fi trope.

The finished figure. There's some further musings and burbling on Death of a Rubricist, if you're interested in the whys and wherefores of the paint scheme.

Coo, thanks very much everyone – very kind :)

I've started work on the vignette of Iron Warriors from page 5, so will be working my way through that over the next couple of days, probably breaking it up with something from my Unification Wars project.

Next weekend I'm off to catch up with my friends and gaming group, the PCRC, and I'll be taking Officia Monstrosa along to see if I can get a little skirmish game or something.

Seeing as I'm defiantly going to be working on a few small groups of truescaled marines in the future perhaps we could organise a little skirmish. After the Emperors Children I'm thinking now about doing some VII marines who might like to meet the Officia Monstrosa...

Sounds great to me, Hydra – looking forward to seeing more of your Emperor's Children, too (not to mention your cool Inq28 stuff :)). Perhaps a joint battle against some likely Eldar players?

In the meantime...

Apothecary!

I'm loving the 'darth Vader' skin tone color palette. The subtle osl from the light above his head is fantastic as well and really adds to the foreboding and sickly feelings present in miniature. Once again you have done a tremendous job

Thanks all. There's been a bit of a halt in communications recently owing to general hobby malaise and the uncertainty about changes to Picasa (the image service I use), but I figured I'd forge ahead while I had a little spare time. No further finished marines, I'm afraid, but some more ready for paint:

Tactical Phalangites:

Three more marines to join the siege, in a variety of armour patterns.

Legion Basilikos

A veteran legionary, this chap will be joined by a few more with volkite chargers for death-ray goodness. I think they'll end up being used as Tactical Support, because (unless I'm mistaken) Veterans can't have volkite chargers.

Thank you for your kind comments; it's much appreciated – always helps buoy up my enthusiasm, so cheers :)

Always a delight to receive an email saying you've updated this thread. Lovely stuff! As you might have seen, the deathwatch news has infused my work and it is cool to see you continuing too. I sent you an email recently, by the way!
